As a Scrum Master, you will be a facilitator and coach for the development team, guiding them in adhering to Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
Your mission is to create a productive environment where the team can deliver high-quality software products by removing impediments, fostering collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach and guide the Scrum team on adhering to Agile principles and practices, and ensure they understand and follow Scrum theory, guidelines, and practices.
Help the Product Owner manage the product backlog effectively.
Remove any impediments or blockers that are hindering the team's progress.
Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions.
Promote a collaborative and transparent team environment.
Liaise with stakeholders to improve visibility and clarity about the teams work.
Encourage continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Resolve conflicts within the team and promote constructive disagreement.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management with minimum of 3 years of experience in managing software development teams using Agile Methodology.
Solid knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodology, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Agile Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PSM II) is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
Proficiency in servant-leadership, conflict resolution, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
Status: Local contract with Baobab Microfinance Bank, Nigeria.
