    Sales Engineer (Experienced)

    Role Description

    • This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Engineer located in Lagos. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for combining technical knowledge with sales expertise to promote and sell products or services to existing and potential clients. Day-to-day tasks include providing technical support, understanding client requirements, delivering product presentations, and collaborating with sales teams to achieve revenue targets. The role also includes maintaining strong client relationships to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

    Skills & Specifications

    • B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field 
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales 
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets 
    • Strong knowledge of engineering products and systems within the Manufacturing and Oil & Gas sectors, including valves, pumps, compressors, pipelines, turbines, and automation.
    • Solid understanding of industrial processes
    • Strong capacity to recommend cost-effective and technically sound solutions based on client needs and operational challenges 
    • Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and lifecycle performance of industrial equipment 
    • Strong negotiation and commercial awareness (pricing, margins, contracts) 
    • Excellent client relationship management skills (especially with engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers) 
    • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
    • Experience with CRM tools, sales forecasting, and pipeline management 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • 1–2 years experience (NYSC or internship acceptable) 
    • Basic understanding of engineering products used in Manufacturing and Oil & Gas environments, such as valves, pumps, and industrial equipment 
    • Willingness and ability to learn product specifications, applications, and industry use cases quickly 
    • Basic understanding of industrial processes and how engineering equipment supports operations 
    • Ability to interpret basic technical information and communicate it clearly to clients 
    • Strong willingness to work in a target-driven sales environment 
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
    • Strong attention to detail and organization
