    Safety Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Promote and enforce safe practices at the job site.
    • Investigate and keep record of safety-related accidents and near misses within stipulated time frame.
    • Liaise with purchasing department for PPE budget and purchase and maintain record of PPE issuance.
    • Recommend appropriate protective equipment that workers should wear while carrying out tasks.
    • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
    • Stop the continuation of processes that are deemed harmful to the health of workers.
    • Establish safety standards and review existing safety policies and update them where necessary.
    • Carry out or organize important safety-related training within the Company.
    • Conduct risk assessment, job hazard analysis and ensure that preventive measures are taken.
    • Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority.
    • Conduct toolbox meetings.
    • Review and approve all subcontractor’s safety plans.
    • Carry out PTW Monitoring and review.
    • Review site emergency management plan.
    • Ensure proper storage, labeling and removal of hazardous materials.
    • Ensure proper waste management (Waste segregation, storage and disposal).
    • Liaise with Government agencies on statutory and regulatory requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    • HND in Occupational Safety and Health, and Environment or related field.
    • Experience in ISO 45001:2018
    • Possess a BOSIET certificate. Any other relevant HSE certification will be an added advantage.
    • 5 years of proven working experience in Health and Safety role.

    Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

    About the job

    • The Ideal Candidate must have had 5 Years working experience with the same role.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise current equipment service contracts.
    • Develop and manage design intent, requirements, and equipment/instruments specifications when applicable.
    • Coordinate repairs plus supervise defective equipment returns.
    • Perform individually and with varied section personnel to document systems.
    • Review and develop engineering and design documentation, including engineering procedures, standards, and specifications.
    • Ensure to procure instrumentation systems as specified.
    • Evaluate equipment and instrumentation within the discipline against all applicable regulations and standards.
    • Maintain and update instrumentation systems and electronic control.
    • Ensure new and current electronic systems complying with latest safety rules.
    • Explain electronic measurement arrangement to procedure.
    • Keep up to trend with industry trends and development.
    • Provide realistic and practical technical solutions to operational engineering challenges

    Qualifications

    • Possess B.Eng. or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
    • Extensive experience in instrument and control engineering in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
    • Field experience is required in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries with a wide variety of instrument and control installations.
    • Experience on selected project vendor’s PCS (project control system) and FAT (final acceptance test).
    • Must be computer literate with advanced level of experience in use of office and technical software.
    • Candidate should have experience during plant construction, commissioning, start - up or operations and including selection and installation of field instruments, cables, enclosures, trays, hazardous area installations and grounding.
