    Relationship Officer, General Merchandise

    Job Objectives

    • Payarena Mall, the e-commerce division of our fintech company, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Relationship Officer to manage and grow vendor relationships within the General Merchandise Department.
    • This department includes diverse product categories such as electronics, home & kitchen appliances, personal care, baby products, office supplies, and more.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying high-potential sellers, managing partner relationships, and contributing to the growth, performance, and profitability of the general merchandise category.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Vendor Acquisition & Management:

    • Identify, engage, and onboard high-quality vendors, suppliers, and brand partners across multiple general merchandise categories.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors to ensure mutual growth and satisfaction.
    • Negotiate favorable commercial terms, margins, and promotional opportunities.

    Performance & Sales Optimization:

    • Monitor vendor performance (sales, fulfillment, returns, ratings) and implement strategies to improve KPIs.
    • Collaborate with vendors on product assortment planning, stock availability, and pricing strategies.
    • Coordinate marketing and promotional campaigns to boost category visibility and vendor sales.

    Operational Support:

    • Ensure vendors comply with Payarena Mall's quality, delivery, and service standards.
    • Support vendors in the use of the seller dashboard, catalog uploads, pricing tools, and analytics.
    • Work cross-functionally with content, logistics, finance, and tech teams to ensure smooth operations.

    Market Intelligence & Reporting:

    • Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and customer behavior to guide vendor strategy.
    • Provide timely reports on vendor performance, category revenue, and market opportunities.
    • Recommend improvements to internal processes, systems, or merchant support initiatives.

    Job Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field.
    • Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in business development, vendor/merchant management, or e-commerce operations. Post NYSC experience.

    Relationship Officer, Public Sector

    Job Objectives

    • As an Analyst in the Public Sector team, will be responsible for managing key government relationships, driving adoption of our payment solutions within ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the public sector landscape.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector, including MDAs, regulators, and government partners.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for payment solution deployment across federal, state, and local government entities.
    • Coordinate the end-to-end implementation of payment and collection platforms in line with government and institutional requirements.
    • Provide subject-matter support during engagements, tenders, or proposal submissions for public sector opportunities.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product, legal, compliance, technology, and operations) to ensure client expectations are met.
    • Analyze performance metrics and generate periodic reports on transactions, usage trends, and revenue contributions.
    • Monitor market developments and regulatory changes affecting government payments and advise the business accordingly.
    • Represent the company at relevant public forums, stakeholder meetings, and industry events.

    Requirements
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business, Political Science, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in client relationship management, public sector engagement, or digital payment solution roles.

    Relationship Officer, Other Finanacial Institutions

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and performance-driven Team Member to support the strategic and operational activities of the Other Financial Institutions (OFI) Department, under the Other Financial Institutions Directorate.
    • This role involves managing relationships and solution delivery for non-bank financial institutions, including microfinance banks, mortgage banks, finance houses, fintechs, cooperative societies, and similar entities
    • The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of the OFI ecosystem, fintech-enabling technologies, and digital financial services, with demonstrated experience in client relationship management and product implementation.

    Responsibilities
    Client Relationship Management:

    • Support the onboarding and management of financial institution clients including MFIs, fintechs, cooperatives, and other licensed OFIs.
    • Develop and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring consistent value delivery and support.
    • Monitor client performance and usage trends to identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.

    Business Support & Implementation:

    • Assist in deploying tailored fintech and payment solutions, including collections, disbursements, APIs, agency banking, and wallet services.
    • Liaise with internal departments (technology, operations, legal, compliance) to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
    • Coordinate product demonstrations, documentation processes, and basic troubleshooting for clients.

    Operational Excellence:

    • Ensure client compliance with onboarding documentation, regulatory requirements, and KYC protocols.
    • Track service performance, escalate service delivery issues, and follow through on resolution timelines.
    • Maintain detailed records of client activity, support tickets, and engagement history.

    Market Research & Reporting:

    • Conduct periodic competitor and industry analysis to inform client engagement strategies.
    • Prepare reports and dashboards on department KPIs, client activity, and business development outcomes.
    • Support internal and external audit requirements by maintaining proper documentation and records.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial services, fintech, or a client-facing role within the OFI segment. Post NYSC experience.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for mid-to-large enterprise accounts, supporting payment product adoption and operational excellence.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues, drive resolutions, and ensure timely delivery of services.

    Requirements

    • A Degree / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
    • 3 – 6 years of experience in fintech, corporate banking, treasury, payments, or enterprise client services. Post NYSC experience.
