    Public Health Program Offcer

    Responsibilities

    • Program Strategy & Coordination: Assist in designing and implementing strategies for Field's programs to ensure smooth execution and measurable impact.
    • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, donors, implementing partners, and private sector stakeholders.
    • Technical & User Coordination: Serve as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams (engineering, support, and product development) to ensure alignment on goals, expectations, and challenges.
    • Meeting & Documentation: Attend and document key meetings with users, government partners, and donors, ensuring clear communication of objectives and outcomes.
    • Data & Research Support: Design and manage data collection activities, including surveys, field research, and user testing, to generate insights for program improvement.
    • Training & Capacity Building: Organise and support training sessions, including logistics, content development, and facilitation of workshops.
    • Process & Workflow Improvement: Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions to optimise program workflows and execution.
    • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure programs meet donor and regulatory requirements, contributing to high-quality reports, trackers, and presentations.
    • Other Responsibilities: Support additional tasks as needed within the digital products and implementation teams.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
    • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, program management, or public health initiatives.
    • Strong professional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
    • Excellent writing skills for reports, data-driven materials (spreadsheets, dashboards), and presentations.
    • Experience with data collection, analysis, and research methodologies in a public health or supply chain context.
    • A high degree of initiative and adaptability, with the ability to work proactively in small, cross-functional teams.
    • Familiarity with digital health technologies or experience working on software development projects (preferred).
    • Fluency in English

    Software Engineer

    Job description

    • We’re looking for a full stack javascript engineer to help us build and maintain our suite of country-scale logistics and program intelligence systems for distributed, occasionally-connected contexts.
    • Your job will include architecting, building and supporting clean, modular, well tested code; however as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will also help investigate user needs and design solutions alongside our other technology and subject-matter experts, playing a key role in building and delivering our mission-critical services.
    • As a mid-level engineer you'll engage in a wide range of application development, data operations and support activities, following established design patterns and best practices to support our distributed, offline-first systems for emerging markets.
    • You will work closely with other developers in Berlin and Nigeria, supporting each other and collaborating through frequent code reviews and strong adherence to best practices, as we develop tools to shape health supply chains at scale in some of the fastest growing places in the world.

    Required

    • Professional experience building and maintaining live systems
    • Professional experience with client- and server-side Javascript, and document-oriented databases (CouchDB, AWS, React experience all a plus but not critical)
    • Excellent communication skills including experience working in cross-cultural settings
    • A deep curiosity about information architecture, design patterns, and critical evaluation of new technologies

    Product Manager

    Job description

    • We’re looking for an experienced product manager to help us plan, design, build, and ship our web and mobile tools for healthcare and health logistics. Our products shape health systems, and our product owners are at the forefront of those transformations, working with our subject matter experts, designers, engineers and field staff to define, refine and ship each of the products in their portfolio. You will be interrogating and extracting stakeholder requirements, guiding our technical teams in product creation and delivery, safeguarding and critically evaluating product positioning within the institutions and markets which they address. Given the ambition of Field products, you will need to share a deep curiosity about the contexts in which we develop solutions, a high degree of creativity, and fluency with a range of quantitative methods for design research and product development.

    This is a full-time position, with frequent (but negotiable) travel requirements.

    Required

    • Experience with and passion for design research and cross-cultural product development
    • 4+ years' working experience in a product design or management role, with experience in heavily process-oriented products
    • Professional experience working with or on supply chain management tools
    • Analytical thinker, high degree of fluency with quantitative methods, data analysis and manipulation
    • Comfortable working with complex enterprise systems and datasets
    • Professional experience managing mobile and web products through entire product development lifecycle from strategy to maintenance (portfolio required)
    • Excellent presentation skills and ability to articulate product value proposition for a range of stakeholders, facilitate development process and manage diverse stakeholder demands on the fly
    • Comfortable putting together wireframes and clickable mockups
    • Demonstrated ability to work and interact cross-functionally with experts on technical subject matter, developers, business development, public and private sector clients
    • Demonstrated ability to decompose complex systems and data to produce comprehensive, coordinated technical requirements
    • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills
    • Willing to travel (Europe and Africa)

    Infrastructure Engineer

    Job description

    • We’re looking for someone with a love of infrastructure and automation to work with us on the country-scale, offline-first logistics and program analytics services which we provide to public and private health supply chains. You’ll help design, build and maintain the modern, largely serverless infrastructure and well-developed deployment tooling which serves and monitors our platform as it supports hundreds of millions of health interventions each year.
    • You will work closely with our development teams in Nigeria and Europe, supporting them with deployment and hosting infrastructure, designing solutions to challenges of scale, security and reliability.
    • This is a full time position based in or around Berlin or Abuja. We primarily work remotely but find it useful to be able to meet up from time to time. Part-time work possible.

    Note all permanent positions at Field come with enrollment in our ESOP.

    Required

    • 5+ years experience working in a DevOps, site reliability engineering, or related role, on live production systems in a team setting
    • 5+ years experience working in software engineering, ideally with javascript-based tech stacks

    Professional experience:

    • Working with AWS (esp. CDK, Lambda, ECS)
    • Maintaining and scaling data infrastructure (Postgres, Apache CouchDB a plus)
    • Maintaining CI / CD pipelines (esp. CircleCI)
    • Working with Linux shells and Docker in production environments
    • Configuring Javascript build systems (esp. esbuild, NPM)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High degree of personal initiative and organisation
