    Project Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • The project supervisor is responsible for managing furniture and interior design projects. This involves managing project sites, receiving client’s briefs and communicating client’s specification to factory.
    • The Project/Site Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that client’s requests are done to specification and delivered on time.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Managing project sites
    • Receiving clients’ briefs for individual projects
    • Assessing project and resource requirements
    • Communicating clients’ specifications to factory
    • Supervising installations at client’s location
    • Managing client sites
    • Ensuring that client’s requests are carried out to specification
    • Leading project planning sessions
    • Coordinating staff and internal resources
    • Managing project progress and adapt work as required
    • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
    • Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
    • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
    • Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • HND / BSc Degree in Architecture or related field
    • 2 - 5 years in project management/construction site supervision in a furniture-making/interior design company
    • Ability to use design software: ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Google Sketch up etc
    • Experience in furniture making and installation is desirable
    • Supervisory skills
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain the client’s expectation
    • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
    • Excellent leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail
    • Certification in Project management is an added advantage.

    Assistant Factory Manager (Furniture Making)

    Job Summary

    • The Assistant Factory Manager will support the planning and organizing of production schedules, overseeing production processes and determining quality control standards.
    • The Assistant Factory Manager will also be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results

    Job Responsibilities
    Production:

    • Planning and organising production schedules
    • Develop detailed furniture and fittings project plans
    • Prepare cutting list for production
    • Coordinate production processes
    • Assessing project and resource requirements
    • Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timelines with clients and management
    • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
    • Determining quality control standards
    • Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
    • Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
    • Organising relevant training sessions
    • Mentor / supervise team members and conduct performance reviews
    • Send detailed monthly report to management.

    Quality Control:

    • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
    • Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor
    • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
    • Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
    • Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
    • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs
    • Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
    • Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others
    • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc
    • Accomplish organization mission by completing related results as needed

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • OND / HND / BSc Degree in Architecture, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
    • 4 - 8 years of proven experience in a furniture production factory.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Factory Supervisor/Team Lead
    • Sound knowledge of furniture factory equipment
    • Technical know-how to maintain manufacturing machines and tools to maximum functionality
    • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies
    • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
    • Excellent leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail
    • Certification in Production, as well as Quality Control, is an added advantage.

    Housekeepers

    Job Summary

    • The House Keeper is responsible for maintaining and keeping the residence clean, in order and tidy.
    • The position is a live-in position with a BQ available for the House Keeper.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Cleaning and maintenance of the residence on a daily and regular basis
    • Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
    • Cleaning and sanitizing conveniences, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks.
    • Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area
    • Making beds and changing linens
    • Scheduling home maintenance and repair work, and supervising the project
    • Run errands and performs necessary tasks.

    Qualifications

    • SSCE or OND in a related field
    • Minimum of 3 years House Keeping/cleaning experience in a reputable Hotel, Residence or company.
