    Programmes Officer

    • The Programme Officer will play a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring various programs and projects within the organization.
    • With 3-5 years of experience, the candidate is expected to bring a solid understanding of program management, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to contribute to the strategic development of initiatives.
    • The role involves collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and overseeing the successful execution of programs in alignment with organizational goals.

    Responsibilities:

    Program Planning and Development:

    • Contribute to the design and development of program strategies in line with organizational objectives.
    • Work closely with senior management to identify program priorities, goals, and outcomes.

    Project Implementation:

    • Oversee the execution of programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement activities and achieve project milestones.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and collaborators.
    • Collaborate with external organizations to enhance program effectiveness and broaden impact.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness.
    • Regularly review program metrics and provide reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

    Budget Management:

    • Contribute to budget planning and tracking for assigned programs.
    • Monitor expenditures, identify variances, and provide recommendations for financial adjustments.

    Capacity Building:

    • Provide support in the identification of capacity-building needs within the organization and among program partners.
    • Develop and deliver training sessions to enhance the skills of program staff and partners.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare comprehensive and timely reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation for internal and external use.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks to program delivery and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Work proactively to address challenges and ensure the smooth implementation of programs.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences).
    • 3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably within the non-profit or development sector.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management for programs.
    • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies.
    • Proficient in using MS Office suite and project management tools.

    Communications Assistant

    As a Communications Assistant at CEWHIN, your responsibilities will include;

    • Assisting in the planning and implementation of communications strategies
    • Draft and edit communications copy (e.g. press releases, publications, knowledge materials, web content, policy briefs, social media posts)
    • Track projects and media exposure
    • Creation of social media, blog and web content
    • Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.

    Requirements

    • 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing/brand communications.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of and proficient in the use social media platforms and tools including, but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and HootSuite or similar
    • Proficient command of English - Effective writing, editing and proofreading skills are required.
    • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva, Photoshop or InDesign etc is a plus.
    • Experience with basic smartphone photography and videography.
    • Knowledge of Content Management Systems such as WordPress is a plus.
    • Experience in email marketing is a plus.
