    Production Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Production Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all daily production operations within the manufacturing facility.
    • This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining the highest quality standards.
    • The position requires strategic planning, people management, process optimization, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Quality Control, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to meet operational targets and delivery timelines.
    • Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
    • Monitor production shift output, identify variances, and take corrective action where necessary.
    • Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
    • Manage resource allocation including labor, materials, and equipment for optimal production output.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is maintained, serviced, and operational.
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production processes.
    • Ensure production teams are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with company goals.
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics (OEE, downtime, yield, and scrap rate).
    • Prepare production reports, cost analyses, and performance summaries for management review.
    • mplement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.
    • Work closely with HR on staffing, performance management, and training initiatives.
    • Enforce company policies, HSE and workplace discipline across production units.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
    • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in production or manufacturing management within construction or industrial environments.
    • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and quality systems.
    • Proven track record in leading large operational teams and improving plant efficiency.
    • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma techniques.
    • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

    • Proven leadership in managing budgets and large operational teams.
    • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.

    N800,000 - N1,000,000 / month.

    Responsibilities
    Financial Strategy & Leadership

    • Develop and implement the group’s long-term financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by the CEO and Board of Directors.
    • Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.
    • Evaluate financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

    Financial Operations & Management:

    • Oversee all financial functions: accounting, budgeting, reporting, treasury, tax, auditing, and procurement.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to sustain operational efficiency across the various subsidiaries in the group.
    • Ensure proper internal controls and financial governance structures are in place.

    Business Performance & Growth Support:

    • Conduct financial modeling, profitability analysis, and scenario planning to support business growth.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities, margin improvements, and operational efficiencies.
    • Partner with business units to evaluate new markets, products, and investment

    • Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or expansion initiatives.

    Compliance, Risk & Audit Management:

    • Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, auditors, regulators, and investors.

    Capital Structure & Investor Relations:

    • Lead fundraising efforts and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, and key stakeholders.
    • Prepare investor reports and ensure transparency in financial communication.

    Leadership & Team Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams.

    • Drive digital transformation initiatives in the finance department (automation, analytics, ERP enhancements).

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
    • MBA in Finance or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (added advantage).
    • Professional certifications such as ACCA, ACA/ICAN, CPA, or CFA required.
    • 10-15years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a
    • senior leadership/ executive role.
    • Proven experience managing corporate finance in a mid-large organization.
    • Strong background in financial planning, treasury, corporate strategy, and compliance.
