    Principal PACO (Process Automation, Control, and Optimization) Engineer / Lead

    Job Summary

    • A Principal PACO (Process Automation, Control, and Optimization) Engineer / Lead acts as the senior technical authority for instrumentation, control, and safeguarding systems, leading PACO design, commissioning, and optimization in oil and gas projects.
    • They oversee contractors, manage vendors (MAC/DCS), and ensure compliance with DEPs/international standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Technical Leadership:Act as the technical lead for PACO scope in brownfield/greenfield projects, providing authoritative decisions on instrumentation, DCS, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
    • Project Execution & Management:Lead design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Integrated FAT (iFAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for PACO systems, including third-party packages.
    • Vendor Management:Lead control system vendors and system integrators, particularly specializing in Main Automation Contractor (MAC) systems like Emerson.
    • Commissioning & Startup:Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning, troubleshooting, and debugging of PLCs, DCS, and SIS.
