    Pharmacy Channel Manager

    Job Description

    • We are looking for an experienced & talented Pharmacy Channel Manager to develop and implement channel business plan with cross functional teams that deliver planned revenue and profit of Sanofi Nigeria GenMed portfolio.
    • By joining us, you will be a part of a highly motivated team in the Trade and Revenue Management who support the GenMed Global Business Unit.

    Key Accountabilities
    Develop and implement channel plans and ensure they are aligned with organizational priorities and is regularly reviewed to drive performance. Key essential elements in developing channel plans include the following:

    • Define roadmap to growth – Lead with cross functional teams the development and implementation of channel business plan, value proposition and communication for Sanofi, therapy area and brand, catered to the assigned channel. Cascade approved strategic channel plan to FF with data analysis needed for every key account per channel such as monthly consumption trend, Stock situation, new introductions situation, Semester channel business review meetings quarter workshop etc.
    • New opportunities – Drive the Identification, exploration and development of new business opportunities and maximize the result.

    Drive Channel growth in the assigned channel. Including:

    • Revenue - Lead the implementation of the developed channel plans to achieve channel sales objectives. Negotiate and establish contractual agreements with key accounts within the channel in compliance with Sanofi procedures
    • Channel Profitability - Develop assigned channels & brands to achieve channel profitability
    • Growth of promoted brands - Prioritize and drive growth of promoted brands within assigned channels. Ensure product availability, stock monitoring, replenishments and reordering at key accounts level
    • Understanding Channel Dynamics - Recognize key business drivers, channel influencers, Patient flows, patient and customer journeys. Drive channel strategy through understanding the marketplace, key issues, trends competitive positioning and activities of the key competitors

    Pricing and Access management in the assigned channel in collaboration with key stakeholders Including:

    • Identify barriers to access  Continuously seeks input from key stakeholders on barriers to optimal care, or system constraints within the assigned channels and share with relevant parties
    • Implement pricing policy: Ensures implementation of the aligned business strategies for the pricing of brands within assigned channels, in close cooperation with the business units and revenue management

    Stakeholder engagement in the assigned channel Including:

    • Develop and implement advocacy plan - Lead workstream with internal key stakeholders, to develop and implement Sanofi advocacy plans and drives efforts towards shaping an environment conducive to optimal access to Sanofi brands within the assigned channel.
    • Tools and reporting - Prepare and submit monthly engagement reports on the CRM system and other tools and share updates with Line Manager. Represent the needs of the customer and provide understanding of competition and market trends, back into the organization

    Maintain Compliance & Ethical Leadership

    • Abide by the requirements of the internal Code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    • University Degree Academic degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology or Life Sciences.
    • At least 5-year cognate experience in sales; track record in key account management.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian Healthcare system and pharma sector or FMCG

    Job Description

    Key Accountabilities
    Achieve business growth and business sustainability in assigned geographies and TA:

    • Sales Target: Achieve agreed territory sales target (annual, quarter, month) by defined therapy area, territories and channels.
    • Develops and implement territory plan: Responsible for developing and implementing territory tactical plan aligned to affiliate brand plans with focus on delivering top- priority metrics such as revenue, growth (value & volume) and profitability.
    • New Opportunities: Recognize key business drivers, new business opportunities, therapy area KOLs, patient flows, patient and customer journeys to maximize customer experience and achieve business objectives.
    • Forecasting: To conduct robust territory forecasts based on validated market insights, local intelligence, available data, reports and tools.
    • Stakeholders/KOL Management: Deliver robust key stakeholder’s management and relationship to achieve business success.

    Obsessive Execution:

    • Deliver excellent execution of approved territory tactical plans to optimize patient share and market share growth (value & volume).
    • Ensure all activities deployed within territory aligns to Therapy Area strategy delivering on approved outcomes
    • Deliver operational efficiency through digital transformation and SFKPI achievement to optimize customers touchpoints, omnichannel experience and orchestrator rep model.
    • Optimize delivery of campaign outcomes within territory through understanding the marketplace, key issues, trends, competitive positioning and activities of the key competitors and feedback to relevant internal stakeholders.
    • Deliver complete HCP coverage and reach within territory as defined by the TA strategic plan

    Championing the Customer Experience:

    • Customer Segmentation and Targeting: Deliver timely and correct profiling responses from HCPs in alignment with defined behaviours and practice to drive customer insight and inform engagement
    • Customer journey mapping – Collecting and connecting customer data to provide insight into behaviors and challenges at each touchpoint of the patient or customer journey.
    • Winning Communication & Engagement: Appropriately and adequately communicate brand features, benefits and key messages to HCPs in line with brand strategy using applicable materials to enrich engagement and drive key message recall and behaviour change.
    • Relationships: Build trust with HCPs and customers by demonstrating the value of Sanofi offerings and developing long term mutually satisfying professional relationships.
    • Winning Innovation with digital: Deliver a quarterly multichannel engagement plan of action that aligns to known HCP engagement preferences. Execute new opportunities in digital enaggement to strengthen relationships with customers.

    Tools and Reporting:

    • Ensure the effective use of marketing, sales effectiveness, HSE, digital and other Sanofi tools designed to support role productivity
    • Responsibility for reporting integrity: timely, accurate and complete reporting
    • Provide monthly market and competitor intelligence reports
    • Maintain relevant and up to date customer database
    • Delivery of customer Segmentation & Targeting exercise

    Experience and Educational Requirement
