    Pastry Chef

    Summary

    • Responsible for the daily preparation of all baked goods and pastries, for a la carte and banquet production and responsible for co-deciding the dessert menu with the Executive Chef.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
    • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, rolls, muffins, croissants, and doughnuts etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
    • Able to develop, design, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry kitchen.
    • Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings.
    • Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
    • Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings, toppings etc. and ensure the food presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
    • Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
    • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
    • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to Manager immediately.
    • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
    • Assist with the development of standardized recipes for all menu items. Ensures that recipes are accurate and updated as needed.
    • Ensures that all food products prepared meet the established specifications and standards.
    • Ensures proper levels of bakery and pastry items are prepared based on forecasted needs and their prompt delivery to the designated outlet for guest consumption.
    • Responsible for complete set up, cleanliness and organization of the Pastry Department and bakery areas at all kitchen locations.
    • Seeks to maintain knowledge of industry trends in the world of pastry and baking.
    • Reviews menu items and makes changes as necessary. Utilizes leftovers whenever possible.
    • Ensures that kitchen equipment is clean and in working order, reports and prepares work orders for required repairs. Ensures that all equipment is handled safely and with reasonablecare.
    • Creates recipe cards for all menu items and trains Bakers using recipe cards.
    • Assists the Executive Chef with annual budget process and makes recommendations with regards to the Bakery Department.
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma / HND in any field of study.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience obtained in a well-structured Kitchen or five - star Hospitality setting.

    Reservation Officer

    Summary

    • The Reservation Officer responds to reservation requests from guests, Sales agents, and referral networks made through various communication platforms.
    • He/She ensures that reservation hotlines are attended to at all times to meet daily business needs, and is responsible for creating, updating and maintaining reservation records promptly in accordance with guests' booking confirmations.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist and advise customers who may be choosing from a variety of accommodation options.
    • Making reservations for customers based on their various requirements and budgetary allowances.
    • Check the availability of accommodation or transportation on the customers’ desired travel dates.
    • Help plan the logistics by suggesting options.
    • Process payments and sending confirmation details to customers.
    • Sort out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations.
    • Sell and promote reservation services.
    • Answering any questions customers might have about the reservation process.
    • Up-sell, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services or special packages .
    • Provide support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a reservation.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • OND, HND or Bachelor's Degree in any field of study.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience obtained in a well-structured Hotel or Resort
    • Must have Software knowledge used in the hospitality industry.

    Skills and Compentencies:

    • Strong math skills and understanding of basic financial concepts
    • Customer-service experience.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Proficient in microsoft office suite.
    • Data entry experience.
    • Flexible working hours.

    Remuneration
    Salary: N840,000 Annually.

    Gardener

    Summary

    • We are looking for a Gardener to install and maintain the flowers, trees and green spaces on the property.
    • You should know how to use and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers and fertilizers, while following health and safety regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain Plants, lawn and Flower arrangements through cutting and watering.
    • Cutting and pruning plants and trees according to standards
    • Cleaning and maintaining grounds
    • Ensure the highest quality of Flower and plants decorations to be done all times
    • Sourcing flowers and maintaining the flowers and cleaning of flower pots
    • Maintain cleanliness in the environment
    • Pruning shrubs
    • Maintaining high levels of presentation in public areas and gardens
    • Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
    • Digging, planting and weeding flower beds and borders
    • Using machinery such as lawn mower, and hedge trimmers
    • Compliance with set Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Thrashing of waste bins daily.
    • Ensure waste bins are cleaned and presentable.
    • Burning thrash at the incinerator
    • Carries out any other official duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Mininum of SSCE / O’levels
    • At least 2 years relevant work experience.
    • The ability to lift heavy objects
    • A love of the outdoors and plant life
    • Experience as a gardener
    • Familiarity with landscaping design.

    Remuneration
    Salary: N480,000 Annually.
