    Partner Manager, Music, Global Partnerships

    About the Job

    • The EMEA Partnerships Solutions team works to transform Google’s relationships with our most strategic and influential partners in EMEA.
    • We work across all Google business and product areas with the goals of growing business, building trust, and deepening relationships in the industries in which we operate.
    • As a Partner Manager, you will work closely with Google teams across the company and help in building partnerships across the music and culture ecosystems.
    • In this this role, you will engage alongside the creative industries to execute on the agreed approaches leveraging existing resources and executing on projects and initiatives that span multiple functions and teams (e.g., Partnerships, Policy PR, Sales, Marketing, Product).
    • Google’s Global Partnerships team powers extraordinary user experiences through partnerships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission.
    • Our team provides meaningful solutions - from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value.
    • We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

    Responsibilities

    • Find, scope, and directly lead strategic initiatives (e.g., industry strategy alignment, cross-functional joint business plans, key industry initiatives/programs, ecosystem engagement projects).
    • Identify key external challenges faced by partners in the music and news industries and work to adapt the Global and EU strategies in these markets and design/propose solutions to remedy challenges.
    • Be a key contributor to the Music cross-functional team, including working directly with key industry associations, representing Google at industry events, and ensuring we are solving the industry challenges.
    • Coordinate as needed with Google’s business organizations (up to VPs): Partnerships, YouTube, Policy, Sales,  Marketing and other Google entities involved in the ecosystem, as needed
    • Incubate transformative/innovative ideas and rally cross-functional teams towards opportunities and represent Google externally at relevant industry events.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience
    • Experience building partnerships and working with partners
    • Experience in the music industry across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), with external relationships.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Google Product Areas that relate to Music and established relationships with the Product and Business Development teams that lead these functions
    • Ability to work with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and scale effectively across a large and highly distributed organization
    • Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business acumen
    • Demonstrable program management skills and solid experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives
    • Solid emotional intelligence that enables close working relationships with key leaders internally and externally.

    Associate Product Marketing Manager, Consumer Apps (French)

    About the Job

    • Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey.
    • From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base.
    • This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
    • The Consumer Marketing team oversees many of Google's largest and most strategic products including Search, Google Assistant, Maps, Photos, and YouTube. Our team is deeply integrated in product development, positioning, narrative, and go-to-market strategy.
    • Whether we are incubating a new product or scaling a mature product, our team operates with a growth mindset and our work is rooted in user insights. We believe in innovative product marketing as much as we believe in cross-team collaboration and transparency.
    • As an Associate Product Marketing Manager, you will work across several aspects of marketing – from branding and positioning to targeted outreach and strategy, go-to-market strategy, campaigns, advocacy, events, and communication.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop marketing plans for Consumer Apps in Sub-Sahara Africa (SSA) and execute campaigns to drive usage of App adoption and usage. 
    • Define and execute go-to-market strategies and organizational coordination for new feature/product launches, including positioning, naming, external communications, competitive analysis, and feature prioritization.
    • Use quantitative methods, models, and research to help Google better understand consumer behavior to provide important feedback back into the product and strategic development cycle. Determine return on investment for projects.
    • Leverage marketing insights to better understand our customers and represent the user. Develop actionable, data-driven insights to inform product and marketing strategy.
    • Develop messaging, collateral, events, and business strategies aimed at acquiring users and increasing our engagement with them and measuring the efficacy of such programs.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.
    • Experience in tech marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, agency, or related.
    • Ability to speak and write in English and French fluently.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Demonstrated analytical experience. Demonstrated ability to develop and understand strategy.
    • Deep understanding of Google's products and technology industry.
    • Demonstrated innovation and creative problem-solving abilities.
    • Global mindset and ability to think across disciplines, industries, cultures and scenarios.

    Program Manager, Developer Ecosystem Communities

    • Coordinate and manage scalable developer outreach and support programs, including the Google Developer Groups (GDG), Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC), and Women Techmakers (WTM) programs, across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
    • Meet with local region developers and companies, promoting Google technologies and programs.
    • Track apps and developers from your region, and plan how Google can better spotlight them and their apps.

    Qualifications
    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Experience in project/program management.
    • Experience with team management, working with cross-functional teams, and leading operational initiatives.
    • Experience in designing and implementing community driven programs/initiatives.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience of speaking publicly and/or representing your organization successfully to external audiences.
    • Experience in a developer-facing role.
