    About the Role

    • We are looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Social Media Video Creator who can independently handle the full video production process — from concept and shooting to editing and final delivery.
    • This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands how to create visually compelling, story-driven content that performs across social platforms.
    • You will be responsible for producing engaging short-form and long-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, and other digital channels.
    • The ideal candidate is both a strong shooter and editor with a sharp storytelling instinct, deep knowledge of social media trends, and the ability to create content that feels authentic, cinematic, and engaging.

    Key Responsibilities
    Production & Shooting:

    • Independently set up and manage complete video shoots, including camera, lighting, audio, and accessories.
    • Operate professional mirrorless, DSLR, or cinema cameras with full manual control.
    • Create effective lighting setups using natural light, LED panels, softboxes, and practical lighting.
    • Capture high-quality audio using lavalier microphones, boom mics, and portable audio recorders.
    • Scout and prepare shooting locations to maximise visual storytelling potential.
    • Direct on-screen talent, presenters, and subjects to ensure confident and natural performances.
    • Use gimbals, sliders, and stabilisers to achieve smooth cinematic movement.
    • Ensure all production equipment is properly maintained, organised, and ready for use.

    Storytelling & Creative Development:

    • Develop compelling narrative structures for both short-form and long-form content.
    • Translate creative briefs and ideas into engaging visual stories.
    • Maintain consistency with the Orca brand voice while adapting content for different audiences and platforms.
    • Contribute to pre-production planning, including storyboards, shot lists, and creative concepts.
    • Think strategically in scenes, sequences, and storytelling flow rather than isolated shots.
    • Capture authentic and emotionally engaging moments that resonate with audiences.

    Editing & Post-Production:

    • Edit raw footage into polished, high-performing content optimised for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
    • Apply professional colour correction and cinematic colour grading.
    • Create and integrate motion graphics, animated captions, text overlays, and lower thirds.
    • Mix and balance dialogue, music, and sound effects for clean, professional audio output.
    • Adapt videos into multiple formats and aspect ratios, including:
    • 9:16 (Reels/TikTok/Shorts)
    • 16:9 (YouTube)
    • 1:1 (Feed content)
    • Incorporate trending editing styles, transitions, pacing, and audio techniques suited to each platform.

    Required Skills & Expertise
    Production & Camera Skills:

    • Strong understanding of manual camera settings, including aperture, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, and ND filters.
    • Experience working with Sony (FX/ZV/A Series), Canon (R/C Series), or Blackmagic cameras.
    • Understanding of focal lengths, lens selection, depth of field, and cinematic composition.
    • Knowledge of lighting techniques, including three-point lighting and mixed-light exposure management.
    • Proficiency using gimbals and stabilisers such as DJI RS Series or similar systems.
    • Strong understanding of audio recording fundamentals, including mic placement and gain management.
    • Drone operation experience is an added advantage.

    Editing & Post-Production Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
    • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and basic compositing.
    • Strong colour grading skills, including LUTs, curves, and skin tone correction.

    Social Media & Content Knowledge:
