    Optometrist

    The Role

    • Reporting to the Chief Medical Director, the Optometrist supports the daily care and management of patients in collaboration with the Consultant Ophthalmologist.
    • The role involves actively contributing to the delivery of eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.
    • The Optometrist will also play a supportive role in supervising clinical activities and guiding medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct full eye health and vision examinations using advanced diagnostic tools
    • Experience in prescribing and fitting corrective lenses
    • Educate patients on proper eye care and visual hygiene
    • Knowledge of vision therapy techniques
    • Maintain accurate patient records in line with regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D) from a recognized institution
    • Certification - Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria; Certificate of Practicing License.
    • Proficiency with the use of the computer.
    • Candidates must possess NYSC discharge Certificate or Exemption letter.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ post-NYSC clinical experience.
    • Excellent problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Attention to detail and a patient-centred approach to care
    • Candidate must reside in Asaba or willing to relocate
    • Highly motivated team player willing to go the extra mile.

    Nurse / Midwife

    The Role

    • Reporting to the hospital’s matron on the day-to-day management of patients.
    • The Nurse / Midwife will also take an active role in overseeing and assisting patients in sustaining and maintaining their health and wellbeing.
    • They may participate directly in care when services are initially implemented.

    Responsibilities

    • Implementing nursing care plan for patients in designated work station
    • Assist medical team in patients' diagnosis and treatment
    • Performing procedures such as admission & discharge, taking histories, monitoring vital signs with necessary follow up, wound dressings, administering medication, IV placement, insertions and providing other assistance needed
    • Prompt incidence reporting and management of patients' grievances
    • Admission and discharge of patients
    • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patients' encounters.
    • Maintaining a clean and safe environment always
    • Comply with the use of Standard Operating Procedures and policies
    • Complete and accurate documentation
    • Incidence reporting.
    • Adherence to quality standards.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Double qualified RN and RM with Valid Nursing Practicing License.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Attention to details.
    • Ability to handle stress and crisis situations.
