    Operations Supervisor, Liner Hanger Systems & Cementation

    Job Purpose

    • Weatherford have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor Liner Hanger Systems & Cementation to join the team in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
    • The Operations Supervisor LHS & CEM will manage field operations for liner hanger systems and cementation services with responsibility for safety, quality, and financial performance.
    • This role requires strategic leadership in operations management, risk assessment, service quality, and business development.
    • This role requires a technically skilled leader who is process driven and quality focused that can balance operational excellence with financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service quality in Weatherford's liner hanger and cementation business in Nigeria.

    Responsibilities
    Safety & Compliance:

    • Lead regular safety meetings and oversee Job Hazard Analysis.
    • Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with Weatherford's HSE policies and industry regulations.
    • Prioritize quality, health, safety, and environmental protection as core values.

    Operations Management:

    • Execute operational activities with focus on resource optimization and EBITDA improvement.
    • Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain equipment according to technical specifications.
    • Oversee job documentation and performance tracking.
    • Support technical requirements before, during, and after jobs.

    Financial Responsibility:

    • Forecast activity trends and maximize financial results.
    • Implement effective cost management practices.
    • Ensure proper contract execution to minimize revenue leakage.

    People Management:

    • Lead field personnel by clearly communicating expectations and responsibilities.
    • Drive performance management through objective setting and regular appraisals.
    • Collaborate with HR on recruitment and retention strategies.
    • Support talent development and succession planning.

    Customer & Communication:

    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
    • Partner with sales to identify new business opportunities.
    • Facilitate collaboration between departments.
    • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or scientific discipline (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum 7+ years of relevant operations experience.
    • Comprehensive understanding of liner hanger systems and cementation operations.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

    • This role combines technical expertise in oil and gas completions technology with strategic sales leadership to drive revenue growth and expand Weatherford's market presence in the region.

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for Weatherford's completions product lines in Nigeria and surrounding regions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major oil and gas operators, providing technical solutions to meet their completions challenges.
    • Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and field trials to showcase Weatherford's completions technologies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and marketing to develop customized solutions for clients.
    • Provide detailed technical guidance on completions equipment selection, installation procedures, and operational best practices.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
    • Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including detailed cost estimates and project timelines.
    • Negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining strong customer relationships.
    • Monitor project execution to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
    • 7-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in completions technology sales or operations.
    • Demonstrated technical expertise in completions equipment and services, including sand control, liner hangers, packers, flow control devices, and intelligent completions.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share in the oil and gas sector.
    • Strong understanding of West African oil and gas market dynamics, particularly in Nigeria.
    • Experience working with major international and national oil companies operating in Nigeria.
    • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong analytical abilities and business acumen.
    • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office suite, and technical software.
    • Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria and occasionally internationally.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with Weatherford's completions product lines and services.
    • Knowledge of local content requirements and business practices in Nigeria.
    • Understanding of HSSE policies and procedures in oilfield operations.
    • Experience working in challenging environments and remote locations.
