    Operations Lead

    About the Role

    • We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to coordinate and enhance the daily operational activities of our client, a reputable microfinance bank. The role requires a hands-on professional who combines operational efficiency with strong leadership and regulatory awareness. You will ensure that processes run seamlessly across all branches while supporting continuous improvement in service delivery, compliance, and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Branch & Transaction Oversight: Supervise daily operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, implement mitigation controls, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks.
    • Process Improvement: Review and optimize workflows to drive cost efficiency and improve turnaround time.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with CBN guidelines, AML/CFT standards, and other industry requirements.
    • Team Coordination: Support, train, and motivate branch operations staff to deliver consistent, high-quality performance.
    • Internal Controls: Strengthen control systems to safeguard the bank’s assets and minimize operational lapses.
    • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on operations, compliance, and performance metrics.
    • Collaboration: Work with management to align operations with strategic business goals and customer experience objectives.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in banking or microfinance operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
    • Sound knowledge of microfinance operations, compliance, and risk management.
    • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., CIBN MCP) are an added advantage.

    Finance Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Planning & Budgeting: Develop, manage, and monitor budgets to ensure effective allocation and utilization of resources.
    • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, statements, and performance analyses for management decision-making.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with CBN, CIBN, and other financial regulatory standards.
    • Cash Flow Management: Oversee daily financial operations, including cash flow tracking and reconciliation.
    • Audit & Tax Management: Coordinate internal and external audits; manage tax planning and filings.
    • Risk Management: Identify financial risks, recommend mitigation measures, and maintain strong internal controls.
    • Stakeholder Relations: Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and relevant financial bodies.
    • Team Support: Supervise and mentor junior finance officers to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (MBA is an advantage).
    • Professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) required.
    • 3–5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, preferably in a microfinance, asset management, or fintech environment.
    • Solid understanding of CBN regulations, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
