    Business Development Manager (Sales - IT Infrastructure)

    Role Summary: 

    Business Development Manager, Sales - IT Infrastructure (Hardware, Software, cloud services, consulting and design services, maintenance and support services and security solutions, etc.) is responsible for driving growth in the organization’s IT infrastructure business. This includes identifying and pursuing new opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and creating strategies to expand the company’s market share in IT infrastructure solutions.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    Strategic Planning and Market Development:

    • Develop and implement a business development strategy for IT infrastructure solutions, with a focus on market penetration and revenue growth.
    • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential business opportunities.
    • Develop comprehensive business plans tailored to target specific industries or clients that require IT infrastructure solutions.

    Sales and Revenue Generation:

    • Identify and engage potential clients to understand their IT infrastructure needs and propose tailored solutions.
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals and presentations to clients and stakeholders.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and resolving issues promptly.

    Solution Design and Collaboration:

    • Work closely with technical teams to design and propose IT infrastructure solutions that align with client needs.
    • Ensure all proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with the company\'s capabilities and strategic objectives.
    • Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams to ensure accurate documentation and pricing of solutions. 

    Project Management and Execution Support:

    • Oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure projects to ensure they meet client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
    • Manage risks and challenges during project execution, ensuring smooth delivery of solutions.

    Reporting and Analytics:

    • Track and report on key performance metrics, including sales targets, pipeline status, and client engagement activities.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on market insights, client feedback, and growth opportunities.

    Key Skills and Competencies:

    • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure solutions, including cloud computing, data centres, networking, and cybersecurity.
    • Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to close deals and negotiate favourable terms.
    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align business development strategies with organizational goals.
    • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with technical aspects of IT infrastructure and the ability to discuss these with clients and internal teams.
    • Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
    • Project Management: Proficiency in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagement and internal collaboration.

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
    • 7+ years of experience in business development or sales in IT infrastructure or related fields.
    • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
    • Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise networking.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous.

    The Business Development Manager (Sales - Renewable Energy) is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company’s renewable energy portfolio. This role demands a deep understanding of the renewable energy market, project management and a strong ability to align organizational goals with market opportunities.

    • Advocate for and implement sustainable practices within the organization and in client engagements. 

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead and mentor associates involved in renewable energy initiatives.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. 

    Reporting and Analytics:

    • Develop detailed reports and presentations on project progress, market trends and financial performance.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

    Key Skills and Competencies:

    • Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, particularly solar.
    • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial modelling, contracts and regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy sector.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and negotiations.
    • Project Management: Proficiency in managing large-scale renewable energy projects with complex timelines and budgets.
    • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends, financial data, and technical specifications to make data-driven decisions.
    • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills to drive initiatives and inspire collaboration.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
