    Nursery School Teacher

    Location: Mini-Orlu, Port Harcourt - Rivers

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery School Teacher to join our dynamic team in a high-paced school. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our nursery pupils, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
    • The ideal candidate will be familiar with child safety and protection policies and will be competent in the use and integration of technology in the classroom as well as best practices in the administration of learning content.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver engaging lessons: Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of nursery pupils using the EYFS framework.
    • Create a safe and nurturing environment: Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of pupils, adhering to child safety and protection policies.
    • Foster social and emotional development: Encourage pupils to develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and self-confidence.
    • Integrate technology in the classroom: Use digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning, and to communicate with parents and colleagues.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education: Or a related field.
    • Teaching certification: TRCN, Nursery school teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
    • Experience: Previous teaching experience in a nursery school setting.
    • Child safety and protection training: Familiarity with child safety and protection policies and procedures.
    • Technology skills: Competence in the use and integration of technology in the classroom.

    Skills:

    • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
    • Lesson planning: Ability to develop engaging and effective lesson plans.
