A Night Auditor is responsible for managing overnight front desk operations while performing accounting and financial reconciliation tasks to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Night Auditors oversee the front desk during the overnight shift, combining customer service and accounting duties.

Their main responsibilities include:

• Checking in and checking out guests promptly and courteously, including handling VIP arrivals and group reservations. 
• Managing guest inquiries, complaints, and requests to maintain high levels of satisfaction. 
• Reconciling daily financial transactions, posting room charges, taxes, and fees, and preparing financial reports for management. 
• Balancing cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely. 
• Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room statuses and hotel systems are up to date. 
• Performing end-of-day procedures, including auditing room rates, occupancy levels, and preparing invoices or paychecks. 
• Maintaining security and monitoring hotel systems such as HVAC and alarms during the night shift.
