    Miller

    PURPOSE

    To carry out efficient milling process of grains to produce good quality flour and co-products in such a way that meets or exceeds customer expectation and company targets on a shift basis.

    THE JOB

    • Drive a positive Health & Safety culture.
    • Effective management of raw materials,  to ensure efficiency of the milling process for intermediate and finished products.
    • Assist the Chief Miller in achieving optimum performance of the milling process.
    • Ensure good quality flour and co-products by performing in-process checks, adhering to HACCP and GMP standards, and promptly addressing quality deviations.
    • Direct management and motivation of production team via on-the-job trainings to enhance milling skills.
    • Maintain accurate production monitoring, documentation and record-keeping.
    • Ensure optimum performance of the cleaning and milling asset as well as the process.
    • Ensure good hygiene and house-keeping practices within the production environment.
    • Identify equipment faults and coordinate with maintenance stakeholders to minimize unplanned downtime, loss-time and waste generation.
    • Ensure effective cost control of the milling inputs, energy and manpower.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Be proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • First Degree in Engineering or Science & Intermediate & Final NABIM.
    • PGD in Milling Technology & Quality Control.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in similar role.
    • Membership of National Association of British & Irish Millers would be an added advantage.

    HR Advisor

    PURPOSE 

    To provide first-line HR advisory support across assigned business units, ensuring effective implementation of HR strategies, policies, and initiatives while supporting the delivery of Group HR projects and partnering with business leaders to drive people performance.

    THE JOB

    • Provide first-line HR advisory support to employees across assigned plants, warehouses, and business functions on employee relations, HR processes, and specialist HR services.
    • Monitor workforce levels to ensure optimal manning and headcount efficiency.
    • Track, maintain, and report agreed HR productivity metrics.
    • Collaborate with Centre of Excellence and other HR teams to improve employee benefits and service delivery.
    • Coordinate the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely completion across assigned units.
    • Support managers in implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) where required.
    • Monitor Learning & Development interventions to close identified competency gaps.
    • Drive effective communication and employee buy-in for change initiatives.
    • Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and overtime, ensuring compliance with company policy.
    • Prepare and integrate HR reports into weekly business reports.
    • Develop HR dashboards and reports for the HR Business Partner.
    • Support any other HR initiatives as assigned

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Possess sound knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, and HR best practices.
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Have excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
    • Be highly organized with strong reporting and analytical skills.

    QUALIFICATION

    Production Manager

    PURPOSE ​

    To provide strategic and operational leadership for all milling and packing activities, ensuring optimal plant performance in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people development, aligned with world-class manufacturing standards.

    THE JOB

    • Lead end-to-end production operations (wheat intake, cleaning, conditioning, milling, and packing) ensuring seamless coordination, process efficiency, and product quality across all stages, while delivering production volumes in line with demand forecasts and plant capacity by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing bottlenecks.
    • Develop, manage, and track production budgets while taking full ownership of cost per ton by closely monitoring and controlling energy consumption, material usage, and waste generation, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, and driving cost-efficiency initiatives without compromising quality or operational performance.
    • Continuously maximize extraction rates and flour consistency through process optimization, parameter control, and adherence to milling standards, while minimizing unplanned downtime by proactively identifying risks, ensuring rapid response to breakdowns, and implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Ensure full compliance with Food Safety and Quality standards (FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP) by maintaining strict process discipline, documentation, and audit readiness through proper housekeeping, traceability, and adherence to regulatory standards.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Demonstrate strong technical expertise in wheat milling operations, including intake, cleaning, conditioning, milling, extraction optimization, and packing.
    • Possess proven production planning and execution skills, with the ability to deliver volumes in line with demand forecasts and plant capacity.
    • Have solid cost management and budgeting skills, with clear ownership of cost per ton, energy usage, material efficiency, and waste reduction.

    QUALIFICATION

    • B.Sc./HND in Engineering / Science & PGD/Certification in Milling Technology.
    • Masters in Engineering / Science or MBA.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 7 years of Cognate Experience in a similar FMCG organization.

    Electrician

    PURPOSE 

    To carry out electrical maintenance activities within the plant in order to ensure continuous operation, optimal performance, and improved equipment reliability in line with plant and operational excellence objectives.

    THE JOB

    • Carry out planned preventive and corrective electrical maintenance within scheduled timelines.
    • Monitor maintenance logbooks to track completed and pending jobs and ensure prompt resolution.
    • Respond quickly to maintenance requests from user departments.
    • Follow approved maintenance checklists and procedures during all electrical works.
    • Prepare and submit accurate reports on work carried out for reference and audit purposes.
    • Support the achievement of preventive maintenance (PM) targets under TPM initiatives.
    • Ensure all electrical maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company safety policies.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in electrical maintenance tasks.
    • Be safety-conscious and capable of working under industrial conditions.
    • Possess basic troubleshooting skills and a proactive maintenance mindset.

    QUALIFICATION

    • 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
    • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or related industrial environment.

    Internal Control Manager

    PURPOSE ​

    To monitor inventory control processes laid down by management and appraise independently all controls within stores, procurement, production, loading and packing areas of the organization.

    THE JOB

    • Planning, organizing and supervising the inventory control operations and providing quality assurance on work done by the team.
    • Provide leadership and direction in communicating and monitoring inventory control policies and processes.
    • Ensure all materials received by the company are following policies and procedures.
    • Weekly reconciliation of material movements including report on any shortages.
    • Perform administrative tasks such as allocation of staff to various duty posts, approval of staff overtime, dissemination of relevant information to team members.
    • Check compliance with approved operational procedures at entry gate, weighbridge, loading bays and exit gates.
    • Report deficiencies in control to the manager and make appropriate recommendations.
    • Preparation and circulation of monthly inventory count schedule.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Possess strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and compliance procedures.
    • Demonstrate excellent understanding of inventory management and materials movement processes.
    • Be highly proficient in financial analysis, reconciliation, and variance investigation.
    • Have strong audit capabilities with the ability to conduct independent control reviews.

    QUALIFICATION

    • HND/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional Qualification Required: ACCA, ACA or a recognized accounting certification.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of ten years’ experience in internal control, audit, inventory management, or related operational roles.
    • Experience in a structured, fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment is highly required.
