    Logistics Analyst

    Job Purpose

    • The Logistics Analyst oversees the entire life cycle of a product, including purchase, distribution, internal allotment, release, and final clearance of resources.
    • The role also utilizes analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict, and control logistics operations and processes.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Follow up with Client on daily order availability and provide good trucks to fulfil the order
    • Monitor the loaded trucks to destinations and ensure prompt waybill collection.
    • Follow up with drivers to ensure on time delivery of client goods and escalate any form of delay in goods delivery to line manager for possible prompt resolution
    • Onboard warehouse owners and truck owners – capture all necessary details.
    • Inspect trucks periodically to ensure only good working assets are allow to carry client goods.
    • Responsible for managing route activities such as invoicing, electronic bills, and shipment tracing.
    • Support vendor/business partner relationships.
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
    • Execute day-to-day processes and perform data management applying a combination of data mining, data modeling, and data analysis; cost/benefit analysis and/or problem analysis.
    • Undertake ad-hoc queries and maintain reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or organizational needs to support the business.
    • Responsible for conducting analysis and creating reports of weekly and monthly KPIs and forecasts.
    • Actively participate in transportation alignment and tracking performance to awards and cost.
    • Responsible for auditing transportation accessorial charges by carrier and customer.
    • Correct freight settlement documents to ensure the proper accruing of freight on a daily basis.
    • Estimate distribution costs for new business opportunities/direct freight, DC Costs, etc.
    • Responsible for performing cost comparisons of distribution center shipments versus plant direct opportunities.
    • Identify potential clients that can be on-boarded
    • Provide daily and weekly reports to the haulage team lead on the work done
    • Clearly communicate to senior leaders (both internal and external), vendors and customers.
    • Performs other related duties, as assigned

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
    • Experience in transportation, logistics, or customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficiency in computer databases, statistic applications, and logistics programs.
    • Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
    • Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. inventory planning, warehouse management).
    • Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Great interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

    Legal and Compliance Officer

    Job Responsibilities
    Contract Management and Administration:

    • Develop, negotiate and evaluate contracts on behalf of the Company.
    • Advise and enforce the company rights and ensure the company meets its obligations in each project by communicating expectations to relevant departments.
    • Monitor key contract dates to ensure all contract terms are applied timely and correctly.
    • Manage legal, project and contracting risk of the company and ensure that any contractual or legal matter affecting the Project execution is properly addressed.
    • Liaise with other departments and third-party representative regularly to address issues that may arise from each contract renewal, contract award, contract resolutions and contract follow-up action items.
    • Provide contract status reports to management for review.
    • Carry out evaluations and provide close out reports for each project and identify gaps and areas of improvement.
    • Assist the other team in preparing requests and responses for contractual interpretations and providing responses to requests for contract clarification, deviations or changes.

    Compliance:

    • Ensure that business operations are in line with all applicable laws, regulations, best practices, internal policies and procedures.
    • Prepare compliance documentation for statutory, legal, and regulatory purposes.
    • Ensure all regulatory licences, certificates, permits are up to date.
    • Be abreast of regulatory developments and industry initiatives and advise management accordingly.
    • Develop and ensure that the company meets its compliance obligations under relevant laws and the requirements of regulatory authorities.
    • Develop compliance checklists and prepare compliance reports, as and when due.

    Legal:

    • Negotiate, draft and review all documents that has legal implications for the company prior to execution and implementation with third parties.
    • Advise the management and other departments on legal issues and matters relating to or resulting from the company’s operations.
    • Litigation and case management activities.
    • Provision of legal, regulatory and compliance support to related entities.
    • Maintain legal and statutory records of the company.
    • Liaise with professional advisers and consultants such as auditors, external lawyers, tax advisers, bankers and shareholders.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in law
    • At least 5 years post qualification experience inclusive of 2 years admiralty litigation experience.
    • Prior knowledge of BIMCO contracts and other maritime contracts
    • Special knowledge of regulatory compliance with NUPRC, NIMASA, NCDMB, NPA etc.
    • Ability to work without supervision.

    Accountant

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation and presentation of company’s monthly business review (MBR) reports, including variance analysis for actual results as compared to budget.
    • Ensure all necessary reports and detailed support documents both periodically and on-demand, including GL movements and analysis, revenue and expenses report analysis, cash analysis, budgets, and cash flow statements are properly and timely prepared and documented.
    • Ensure the integrity of accounting information and reconcile any financial discrepancies by performing or directing forensic research of accounting issues for compliance and establish quality over transactions and reporting.
    • Verifying payment documentation, referencing outstanding bills, updating debtors/Creditors balance, and conducting disbursement of funds to appropriate accounts.
    • Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to verify all entries have been created and posted, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and cohesiveness of information.
    • Ensure all statutory reports are prepared and filed with the relevant tax authorities before the due date.
    • Any other duties assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • B.Sc in Accounting, Finance.
    • 4 - 5 years post qualification work experience as an Accountant
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations, tax laws, codes, regulations and procedures.
    • Working knowledge and experience of an accounting software / ERP
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • Membership of ICAN will be an added advantage.

    Job Description

    • Our client is urgently looking to hire a Customer service Lead.
    • He/she will work with the Head of Growth to develop and implement Customer and partner support processes as well as establish clear service standards and processes that interface with all other departments.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage all truck partners (owners and agents) by collaborating with the logistics team to ensure the smooth collation and collection of waybills and overall operations to feed into customer satisfaction, retention, and the business.
    • Develop and monitor customers' order delivery timelines within the estimated delivery time.
    • Follow up on customers' complaints and provide solutions.
    • Develop and implement customer and partner service policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and excellence.
    • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
    • Investigate and analyze root causes of complaints to implement preventive measures.
    • Act as a liaison between customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely resolution of inquiries.
    • Identify and implement strategies to upsell or cross-sell products based on customer needs.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
    • Minimum of 5 years people (client, partners, and internal customers) management experience in logistics, Entrepreneurship Development, Business Incubation or Technology
    • Track record of contributions/initiatives that drove revenue growth
    • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, analytical, organization, and project management skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
    • Business proficiency in both English and Hausa.
    • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving capabilities with a record of finding feasible solutions to complex problems in an environment with incomplete information and tight timelines
    • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours.
