    Store Keeper

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the work activities of an agency or institution warehouse.
    • Determines items and quantities of stock to be purchased and maintained.
    • Controls the disbursement of supplies and material through directing the posting of inventory control cards or automated systems.
    • Inspects items as to quality and quantity against freight documents.
    • Resolves discrepancies in requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery reports by contacting vendors.
    • Stocks materials according to a prescribed inventory system.
    • Counts, weighs, and measures goods received or issued.
    • Directs the maintenance and operation of gas, electric, or hand operated stores equipment.
    • Establishes standards and methods for packaging and storing supplies and materials.
    • Estimates cost and assigns account codes to items purchased. Unpacks incoming goods and wraps and packs outgoing goods.
    • Responsible for the physical quantity of the goods received and dispatched by warehouse.
    • Responsible to ensure and maintain the status Identification and the Traceability of stored Goods as per Quality System procedures.
    • Responsible to maintain accurate inventory and provide the same for material planning function.
    • Responsible for on-time supply of goods to his customers following FIFO/FEFO.
    • Responsible to monitor the usable life of stock items and inform the management of near expiry goods.
    • Responsible for all documentation of Goods transactions under his custody as per Quality System procedures and to maintain up to the retention period.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum SSCE / OND in any relevant field
    • Relevant 3years’ experience in a similar role.

    Qualifications and Requirement

    Chartered Accountant

    Task Complexity

    • Assist in handling monthly organizational payroll remittances, financial statements, and reports as well as organizing and maintaining official documents.
    • Develops guidelines for the maintenance and reconciliation of financial data; maintains and reconciles the more difficult financial control records for expenditures, allotments, receipts, and encumbrances.
    • Monitor receivables and payables. Follows up on missing payments. Advises on and arranges payment schedules.
    • Processes or monitors the processing of financial, accounting and payroll transactions.
    • Examines, analyses and reconciles accounting and financial records as well as documents such as bank statements, expenditures, loans, and others.
    • Ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting, reporting, payroll and company policies and procedure
    • To maintain proper and complete accounting records.
    • To ensure that the accounts, records and transactions are accurate and correct at all times.
    • To implement all necessary controls to safeguard the assets of the organization
    • To prepare and interpret the financial statements and reports
    • To ensure that the established controls and procedures in respect of the controller’s areas of responsibility are being complied with at all times.

    Requirements

    • Must be a chartered accountant
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related industry
    • Prior experience with invoicing and customer relationship management
    • Good knowledge in use of accounting/billing software.
    • Minimum age - 35 years.
