    Physical Education Teacher

    Job Ref No: PE-G-2025

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Physical Education lessons across various stages of the British curriculum, from IGCSE to A-Levels. A strong commitment to maintaining high standards in instruction, curriculum delivery, and student engagement is essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that are engaging, challenging, and differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
    • Teach Physical education across the British curriculum, including but not limited to: IGCSE , AS and A-Level
    • Develop and implement effective schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies in line with the British curriculum guidelines.
    • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials and teaching methodologies.
       
    • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
       
    • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
       
    • Uphold the school\'s values, policies, and code of conduct.
       

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • A Bachelor\'s degree in Physicial Education, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is an added advantage.
    • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., TRCN or equivalent) is ideal, but not a must
    • Minimum of 5 years of proven teaching experience in Physical Education, preferably within an international school setting.
      Strong familiarity and demonstrable experience with the British curriculum framework, including EYFS (understanding of progression), Key Stages, IGCSE, and A-Levels.
    • Proven ability to maintain consistently high standards in instruction, curriculum delivery, and student engagement.
    • Excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
    • Proficiency in using a variety of teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
      Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
      Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • A commitment to professionalism, continuous improvement, and student success.
    • Adherence to the school\'s values and policies.

    Human Resource Officer (British International School)

    Job Ref No: HRO-G-2025

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain an effective record keeping and filing system that ensures all staff files are properly organized, updated and safeguarded.
    • Propose and develop HR policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and coordinate employee welfare, motivation and personal growth.
    • Coordinate health issues of all staff.
    • Coordinate orientation and integration of new employees.
    • Monitor organization\'s compliance to laws governing employer-employer relationship.
    • Monitor training and development plans for staff.
    • Monitor employee leave and absences.
    • Handle employee relations, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, terminations, and administering disciplinary procedures.
    • Identify hiring needs, develop the position description, recruitment plan, organizational chart and other recruitment related documents.

    Education and Work Experience

    • First degree or its equivalent in Human Resources or related fields.
    • 5–8 years in a similar role, ideally within the education sector
    • Professional/postgraduate qualifications in HR Management e.g. CIPM, CIPD, HRBP

    Skills and Competences

    • Excellent understanding of the components and new thinking in Human Capital Management (Corporate Services strategies, manpower sourcing, placement, learning and development, performance management, career management, reward and recognition, retention and exit management).
    • Good knowledge of Nigerian labour and employment legislation.
    • Holistic understanding of school business operations, inter-relationships and dependencies.
    • Sufficient understanding of payroll management systems.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Excellent communication and networking skills.
    • Adequate problem analysis and solving skills.
    • Good supervisory, coaching and mentoring skills.
    • Proficiency in multi-tasking and use of office productivity tools.
