    Product Manager

    We are a financial technology company seeking to bridge the gaps identified in Africa’s payment ecosystem with a presence in 9 African countries, serving a large number of merchants across different verticals and aggressively expanding our footprint.

    What we need

    We are looking to hire a skilled Product Manager who will drive product goals and be the liaison between stakeholders, engineering and business units to ensure the strategic goals and business objectives of the organsation are met, through stakeholder engagement, requirement analysis, technical documentation, and project execution.

    This role charges the Product Manager with the responsibility of translating the product vision into technical terms, while ensuring the product can compete in the market while working closely with Internal Stakeholders.

    What you will do

    • Managing the Product lifecycle process to achieve the objectives of the product.
    • Liaising with the Engineering, Business Development and Growth teams to ensure that the Product development is aligned with the customer requirements.
    • Developing and building the Product roadmap.
    • Translating Product Strategy into detailed technical requirements.
    • Researching user needs and experience.
    •  Generating new ideas to fill products gaps and increase market share.
    • Acting as translator between business and technical community interpreting user needs and translating them into more technical language for the developers (and vice-versa).
    • Lead the collaboration with stakeholders and partners to define scope for projects and enhancements, documents risks and assumptions, develops the delivery approach, and timings.
    • Prepare standard reports with appropriate illustrations in intuitive graphs, charts and other visual representations.

    Requirements

    The Must Have

    • Must have A degree in Business Administration/management, Economics or any related discipline.
    • A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Product Manager.
    • Excellent Project Management skills.
    • An excellent understanding of Agile methodologies.
    • An excellent understanding of software development and web technologies.
    • Excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and time management skills.
    • Experience working in cross functional teams

    What you will do

    We are looking to hire an experienced and result-driven Content Writer. The primary responsibility of the writer is to develop and flesh out content ideas for our blog. The blog content would seek to improve search engine authority and augment the content bank.

    • Experience in adopting an innovative approach to engaging audiences on social media while staying loyal to organizational brand values and tone of voice.

    What you will do

    • Develop and drive sales action plan and strategies to achieve the Seerbit sales and revenue goals.
    • Lead and direct all sales and commercial activities for the organization in assigned territories.
    • Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads.
    • Identify and implement strategies for achieving Seerbit’s sales target through effective planning and budgeting.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of the sales and commercial plans.
    • Develop strategies and budgetary requirement forecasts to grow sales and profit targets for existing and new clients.
    • Develop field sales action plans for improved sales performance, identifying marketing opportunities, market requirements, and build customer database based on company’s client’s market niche.
    • Manage key accounts to meet/exceed targets relating to revenue growth activities, profit margin, sales, and customer retention and customer acquisition, generates key account performance report weekly.
    • Responding to customer needs: exploring specific needs, anticipating new opportunities, developing client-specific interphases for continuity, and managing sales process from opportunity identification to winning business.
    • Keep abreast of competitor’s activity, evaluating key competitor’s strength and weakness and recommending any necessary tactical action monthly
    • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly time-phased reports on achievement and activities for management information and generate progress report on sales and business volume targets from the sales data and trends.
    • And all other tasks assigned by management.

    Requirements

    • Good first degree in any relevant field of study from a recognized institution
    • 10+ years’ B2B sales and commercial experience in fin-tech/payment Industry
    • Must demonstrate good knowledge and leadership experience in the payment space.
    • Good communications skills and must be able to speak with a diverse range of prospective clients- varying in size, industry, and business model.
    • Good business sense.
