    Product Analyst

    Experience Level: Mid Level

    Job Description

    • We’re looking for an experienced Product Analyst who is passionate about our mission of driving financial inclusion in Africa and inquisitive about the Fintech space in Nigeria and the rest of the world.
    • In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the PalmPay app and other company’s products, comparing them against competitor offerings and matching them with market trends, analyzing market data, identifying consumer behaviors and trends and making recommendations from a local perspective.
    • This role is based in Lagos, Nigeria head office and requires a keen eye for details, super-analytical and presentation skills. We are looking for someone who has a deep knowledge of the fintech industry and great research capabilities to join the local product team and provide quality reports to aid informed product development.

    Job Roles & Responsibilities

    • Evaluate PalmPay products and compare them against industry trends.
    • Develop an understanding of company products to meet the company's current and future needs.
    • Monitor competitor's products as well as market conditions, analyze market data, trends, and behaviors.
    • Render weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and presentations on market dynamics, local and international competitor trends and activities.
    • Provide assistance with product and rating reviews.
    • Collating and analyzing feedback from both existing and new customers. 
    • Conducting various usability tests with a cross section of users.
    • Participate in both structured and unstructured consumer research for deep product insights.
    • Assist the company in achieving short and long-term goals relating to product growth.

    Requirements

    Collection Officer

    Location: Ikeja, Lagos

    Job Description

    • Palmpay is looking for a reliable Collection Officer. You will be responsible for recovering the money owed in as little time as possible.
    • This position can be stressful and difficult, as such will require someone who is polite and sensitive towards people while also remaining committed to their purpose and persistent. Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency are extremely useful to succeed in this task.

    Responsibilities

    • Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
    • Reviewing the company debtor list.
    • Contacting customers and informing them of their overdue bills.
    • Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
    • Advising customers on their payment options and suggesting methods of payments.
    • Negotiating suitable payment plans.
    • Instituting legal action when customers fail to pay their debt.
    • Responding to customer queries, investigate and resolve discrepancies
    • Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues
    • Update account status and database regularly
    • Contacting lawyers and insurance agencies to facilitate payments.
    • Maintaining customer payment records.

    System Integration Analyst

    Job Description

    • Work with the Business Unit and relevant team to fully understand the key API or tech side desirables.
    • API analysis on the channel's API to fit into BU demands.
    • Working with the Integration team to architect and support both cloud AWS and on-Premise integration and error reporting solutions
    • Use and examine current transformation technologies such as XML, JSON, CSV and SQL.

    • In this role, you'll be responsible for customer based research, developing user feedback channels and collecting and analyzing customer insights across both new and existing channels.
    • You’ll work to understand existing and potential customers and collect detailed insights as well as action them with the team.
    • This role is based in Lagos, Nigeria head office and requires a keen eye for details, super-analytical and presentation skills.

    About the Role

    • Define, plan, and conduct user research through various methods with different market segments 
    • Continually contribute to our foundational research, including frameworks that describe our users (e.g. segmentation, user journeys)

    Partnership Manager

    Job Description
    We’re looking for an experienced Partnership Manager who is passionate about our mission of driving financial inclusion in Africa and inquisitive about the Fintech space in Nigeria and the rest of the world. In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Expanding payment channels including but not only focusing on Banking, Switching companies, PTSP, PSSP, payment and biller aggregators, etc.
    • Developing and executing strategies for growing and sustaining Palmpay’s vibrant and constantly expanding agent banking network to deepen Financial Inclusion.
    • Fully involved in all steps to onboard Channel Partners from zero to go live with relevant internal shareholders, including agreement signing, commercial negotiation, API integration, reconciliation and settlements requirements.
    • Building relationships with channels partners (Banks/Fintech/Billers/etc.)
    • Monitoring and responding to trends and competitor offerings.
    • Working closely with internal products, operation, settlement and compliance teams to fully understand payment channel requirements.
    • Preparing competitor’s product comparative analysis and identifying areas of improvement for the company’s product and channel capabilities.
    • Ensuring that Payment Channels have stable connection with Palmpay’s system and provide prompt feedback to any channel related issues.
    • Channel operation after go-live of each channel: Working closely with external partners’ contact person to assist/coordinate related teams to monitor and resolve noticed issues during the transaction process including reconciliation, settlement, platform stability and transaction success rate.

    Job Requirements

    • At least 3 years relevant working experience on dealing with Banks / Fintech  / Billers in the positions of BDM or Operation Manager, Product Manager or Project Manager.
    • Proven experience in Partnership position at Biller Company and/or relationship manager ideally focused on managing partners and working with key stakeholders.
    • Comprehensive understanding of Fintech business, great understanding of agency banking and merchant scenarios.

    Job Description

    • Strategize and implement excellent Customer Service Delivery in Call Center.
    • Drive the developing and reviewing processes relating to enhancing customer experience.
    • Build and continuously update the Customer Care knowledge base.

    • This role is based in Lagos, Nigeria head office and our ideal candidate should have excellent writing ability, including the ability to write in different styles and to other people's direction and should have experience working in the mobile payments industry to join the local product team and provide intuitive and marketing inclined copy not only to guide our users but also engage and motivate them to use our products and services.
    • You will be fit for this role if you have the ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and you have a natural desire to help people understand things that are hard to understand.

    Job Expectations
    You’ll be required to:

    • Write copy for mobile payment app pages, in-app and external ads, banners, pop ups, push notifications, SMS or emails for the specific target audience.
    • Tailor the content and style of each writing requirements according to their purpose - whether they are intended to guide users, sell our products or inform users.
    • Develop a deep understanding of company products, app features and objectives to ensure efficient and consistent communication to users across the touchpoints.
    • Identify key messages - understand the main thing the users need to feel and do and how to communicate this intuitively and powerfully.
    • Monitor closely competitor’s style and concepts and research user interests to gain insights and identify fresh and interesting angles for your writing.
