Job Summary
The WASH Project Officer will work under the direct supervision of the National coordinator to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of all water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions across deep fields in Borno State. The position ensures that activities meet technical and quality standards, and are delivered within timelines, and promote equitable access to safe water, improved sanitation, and positive hygiene behaviours.
The role involves supervising field implementation, supporting community engagement, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to capacity building and sustainability of WASH services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the National coordinator in planning, organizing, and implementing WASH activities in accordance with project workplans, donor requirements, and organizational standards.
- Supervise contractors, artisans, and community workers to ensure quality and timely delivery of WASH infrastructure and services.
- Train community workers in the maintenance and repair of WASH facilities. And, in the handling and storage of WASH facility repair kits.
- Participate in procurement processes by developing technical specifications (BOQs) and verifying the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Develop procurement plans and work plans for the implementation of the project.
- Develop technical designs and Bill of quantities for WASH facilities and interventions
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of water supply systems (including hand pumps and solar-powered systems).
- Conduct and monitor water quality testing, ensuring compliance with national and WHO standards.
- Support the construction, operation, and maintenance of safe sanitation facilities for communities and institutions.
- Facilitate Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) or similar participatory approaches to eliminate open defecation.
- Promote solid waste management, vector control, and environmental sanitation activities.
- Support any assign task in NFDP.
- Design and implement hygiene promotion campaigns focusing on key practices such as handwashing, food hygiene, and menstrual hygiene management (MHM).
- Train, mentor, and supervise community hygiene promoters and volunteers.
- Monitor and document hygiene behaviour changes, using community feedback to adapt interventions.
- Prepare and submit timely progress, monitoring, and technical reports.
- Conduct post-distribution and post-construction monitoring to ensure sustainability.
- Coordinate with other sectors (Health, Nutrition, Shelter, Education) for an integrated, multi-sectoral response.
- Must take frequent field visits at least once or twice a month and must be willing to stay for a minimum of 10 days, depending on the task on ground.
- Represent the organization in local WASH coordination forums and meetings, as delegated.
- Build the capacity of community WASH committees and relevant local authorities.
- Ensure all interventions adhere to Sphere Standards, national WASH guidelines, and organizational policies.

Job Summary
The Security Assistant will be responsible for preparing all needed documents and reports on daily, weekly, monthly basis, also responsible for all administration work for the Security Department.
At all times, the Assistant must report to the line managers in the base and security Advisor all matters regarding the Security of Staff and assets.

- Collects all NFDP program required docs to be submitted to his supervisor and getting the pass authorizations such as daily staff field visit, training/workshop, and travel permits.

- Manages and ensures all the movements of staff to be safe and cleared.
- Reports any incident immediately if occurred and write it via the incident management report system.
- Supervises and trains team members (Security Guards and Drivers) and enforce the Standard Operating Procedures from the organization.
- To be responsible for handling security equipment such as main office, warehouse, security office assets.
- Takes an inventory of the assigned security equipment and ensures the devices are accounted for.

ROLE PURPOSE:
To support implementation of WASH component of a project, including hygiene promotion, distribution of WASH items, follow-up of community hygiene groups, and collaboration with WASH stakeholders at state/LGA levels.

- Ensure that WASH is integrated into trainings carried out on relevant NFDP projects
- Carry out advocacy visits to key stakeholders at both states, LGA and community levels
- Work closely with warehouse team in ensuring hygiene items supplied by vendors are of good quality and standard
- Preparation of weekly plans and schedule of work, while ensuring compliance in meeting and reaching deadlines and targets.

- Plan together with project assistants and volunteers to carry out Hygiene Promotion activities within the community to reduce WASH-related risks

- Conduct Facilitates Training and refreshers for plumbers and WASH facilities maintenance committee on repairs and maintenance. And hygiene promoters on hygiene and sanitation best practices.

- Liaise with the MEAL team to conduct needs assessments, baseline surveys and other assessments
