INTRODUCTION
New Foundation for Displaced Persons (NFDP) is a non- governmental organization established under the Nigeria law dedicated to providing crucial support to individuals displaced by insurgency and crises to survival, recover and rebuild their lives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan together with project assistants and volunteers to carry out Hygiene Promotion activities within the community to reduce WASH-related risks
- Supervise the Work of project assistants in collecting and recording data on hygiene promotion activities and share them with the line manager
- Conduct Facilitates Training and refreshers for plumbers and WASH facilities maintenance committee on repairs and maintenance. And hygiene promoters on hygiene and sanitation best practices.
- Participate in WASH coordination meetings and other related field meetings.
- Provide Technical support and on-the-job coaching for project assistants and hygiene promoters.
- Liaise with the MEAL team to conduct needs assessments, baseline surveys and other assessments
- Be the link between the community leaders and the organization, identifying key hygiene challenges to be addressed.
- Participate and support any assign task in NFDP.
- Understands and interpret Bill of quantity and design of WASH facilities.
- Ensure mobilization and sensitization of Project participants and community stakeholders in carrying out communal activities.
- Ensure timely completion of project activities according to the weekly and monthly work plan.
- Support Hygiene and MHM Kits distribution and sensitize beneficiaries on the proper use of the hygiene items
- Write weekly/monthly reports and share them with the line manager
- Develop a Work plan and share it with the project assistants and hygiene promoters to work accordingly.
- Develop WASH proposals for implementation, develop bill of quantity and monitor all constructions and rehabilitation
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.
- Participate in coordination meetings at the field level.
Experience and technical competencies
- Candidates must possess a minimum of a university degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- They should have at least four years of working experience in community-based projects, with a focus on WASH and Nutrition.
- Knowledge of local language is desired
