    Information Technology (IT) Officer

    Location: Lagoon Hospitals, Apapa, Lagos (You may be required to work in other Lagoon Hospital Facilities)
    Reports to: Head of IT
    Internal Contacts: IT Team, Application Users, etc
    External contacts: Solution and Software Vendors, IT Service Providers, etc

    Job Summary

    • This role is responsible for providing Application Support within the IT team.
    • To assist the Enterprises Application Manager in the delivery of the IT Application Development and Support services.

    Summary of Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance and support for application users to ensure that the business application systems supported by the IT team are maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency.
    • Provide support for application configuration and upgrades, and problem analysis and resolution for application problems, in conjunction with the users and external application or services suppliers where necessary.
    • Undertake application problem analysis and resolution for application problems in conjunction with the users and application suppliers.
    • Assist with implementation of IT application project. Provide technical input where required.
    • Analyze data from systems and produce technical and business reports for consumption by departmental managers.
    • Examine application functionality and performance and provide information about how it can be improved.
    • Maintain interfaces, exports and imports, and ensure their smooth running where required.
    • Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time.

    Job Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology
    • One or more of the following IT related Certifications is desired (MSCE, OCP, CITP, MCSA, ITILv3 and Information Security Certification Tracks.

    Core Competencies:

    • 2+ years of increasingly responsible experience in ERP / Enterprise Application systems, analysis and design.
    • Experience in implementing and upgrading business applications.
    • Experience of supporting business application system
    • Hands on experience in database administration and strong SQL based programming and reporting development.
    • Sound Understanding of Application and Data Security
    • Application Design and Development with use of Java, Microsoft tools, etc.

    Biomedical Engineer

    Reports to: Head of Operations

    Summary of Responsibilities

    • Perform operational and safety testing on all clinical equipment as well as assist other clinicals and staff on the proper usage and preventive maintenance of biomedical equipment across Lagoon Hospitals
    • Create schedules, tracking inventory, creating and using budget whilst overseeing contract obligations and deadlines
    • Installs, test, calibrate, repair and provide technical support for biomedical equipment whilst keeping documentation of maintenance history across facilities
    • Ensure regular availability of Oxygen gas across Lagoon Hospitals
    • Evaluate the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of biomedical equipment and maintaining a database
    • Directs biomedical equipment operation by providing equipment operation, demonstrations, instructing other healthcare staff in the use and care of equipment
    • Train team members and end users across facilities on the proper use of equipment and maintenance against safety operations
    • Maintains medical / surgical equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting tests and troubleshooting and repairing malfunction equipment
    • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to complaints against seamless operations.
    • Installs new equipment by conducting tests, ensuring adherence to safety measures and making modifications where necessary
    • Liaise with all service providers in evaluating service contracts, servicing equipment, and maintaining inventories
    • Improves equipment performance by studying machine-patient interaction, conferring with equipment users, developing modifications, and collaborating with, manufacturers.
    • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt before sending to Head of Operations for approval
    • Prepares biomedical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends; analyze new medical procedures to predict likely outcomes
    • Advise Medical Directors on the planning, acquisition and use of medical equipment to maximize the life span
    • Maintains safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests, recommending and complying with procedures, training and guiding medical and healthcare personnel whilst complying with codes

    Job Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Biomedical Engineering
