Accounts Officer
Purpose:
The Account Officer will play a vital role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role is crucial in managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting in budget monitoring, and contributing to financial reporting, ultimately supporting the financial health and efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Maintain organized financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Process invoices, payments, and transactions with proper documentation.
Track accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and assist in credit control.
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
Monitor cash flow and payment schedules.
Support budget preparation and track expenditures against approved budgets.
Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
Assist in preparing audit documents and liaise with auditors.
Contribute to system improvements and efficiency enhancements.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized.
Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in financial operations.
Professional certification (e.g., ACA) or progress toward certification is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
