Purpose of Role:

The Information Technology Officer is responsible for managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations, system security, and overall technological efficiency. This role involves overseeing network systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT assets, and ensuring data security. The IT Officer will also support employees with technical assistance and drive IT improvements that enhance productivity and business operations..

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstations, ensuring optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
• Oversee system security, implement cybersecurity measures, and ensure data protection through backups and recovery solutions.
• Install, configure, and update IT equipment, including computers, printers, and other peripherals. Manage IT assets, procurement, and software licensing compliance to ensure efficiency and cost- effectiveness.
• Monitor and optimize network connectivity, ensuring stable and secure LAN, WAN, and VPN access.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, best practices, and user guidelines to enhance IT operations.
• Train employees on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness, and efficient use of software tools.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain and upgrade IT systems as needed. The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in IT support, network administration & system maintenance. Strong knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, and cybersecurity.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and preventive IT maintenance.
