    Finance Intern

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure daily processing of net settlement files of banks in line with SLA and industry standards.
    • Liaise with counterparties – experience centers, supervisors, area coordinators, settlement partners in relation to daily transactions and settlements.
    • Daily reconciliation of all balances and transactions on electronic settlements/payments accounts with correspondent banks to internal general ledgers and Agility platform
    • Render daily and periodic reconciliation reports.
    • Resolving variances and disputes identified from reconciliation
    • Overseeing the use and maintenance of POS devices across all assigned centers
    • Ensure that all relevant transactions are posted accurately from both an accounting and partner perspective.
    • Ensure that failed settlement transactions are tracked and resolved daily
    • Take ownership and respond to transaction issues, queries and other reconciliation and settlements escalations
    • Investigate and effectively manage the resolution of disputed transactions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
    • Reimbursement and posting of center floats
    • Review of expectations when not available and appropriate escalation
    • Review of exceptions (items outstanding post reconciliation; that is a comparison of internal expectations with statements/settlement entries).
    • Escalation of exceptions to the relevant stakeholders
    • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for all banks, resolution and posting of all reconciling items into the accounting software
    • Ensure no loss of funds. Detect and escalate any loss of funds to all stakeholders promptly.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
    •  Experience in a settlement and reconciliation role in a regulated financial institution will be an added advantage.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills, and ability to work with large volumes of data
    • Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage
    • Attention to details, and understanding of reconciliation.
    • Microsoft Excel skills
    • Willingness to learn and take ownership

    GIGGO Partnership Management Officer

    Job Description

    • Coordinate all onboarding activities for GIGGO Partners, including training, documentation and verification of external partners.
    • Monitor partners performance and submission of Partners’ performance report to the Last Mile Manager on a weekly basis.
    • Makes recommendation on the suitability, retention or otherwise of Partners, after careful evaluation of performance.
    • Resolution of all GIGGO related escalations from relevant stakeholders (Partners, Contact Center etc)
    • Responsible for communicating and educating Partners on upgrades and updates on the GIGGO App.
    • Resolution of Partners’ queries and ensure first call resolution on the GIGGO dedicated line.
    • Escalate technical Partners’ issues for second-level resolution to the appropriate team.
    • Reports breach of SLA by Partners and makes recommendation for appropriate sanctions
    • Appraise the size of third-party fleet vis-à-vis the needs of the business and makes recommendations to the GIGGO Manager on size of Partners fleet required per time.

    Qualifications

    • Should have been in the employ of GIG LGOISTICS for one consecutive year in the capacity of not less than an Experience Center Agent.
    • Good communication and presentation skills
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Good business decision making skills
    • Strong organizational skills

    Experience Center Supervisor

    Job Description

    • Ensures prompt reconciliation, remittance, and reporting of all sales (cash and COD) are done in compliance with set standards.
    • Collaborates with the Area Coordinator (and other stakeholders) to ensure daily planning of operation schedules to ensure smooth operations, including Van routing.
    • Plans, direct, and coordinate Agents and Assistants to ensure that daily activities are carried out in line with organizational standards.
    • Supervise, plan and review work plans/shifts to ensure the center is adequately resourced at all times.
    • Manage and resolves issues especially with aggrieved customers and communicate challenges to the Area Coordinator.
    • Serves as a compliance officer to ensure adherence to standards and policies at the service center (e,g dress policy, professional grooming, Standard operating procedures)
    • Updating down-lines with policies and regulations as may be communicated by management.
    • Tracks stock of working material inventory at the Experience Center to prevent stock-out.
    • Sending of operations and other requests to the Area Coordinator/Regional Manager.
    • Implement discipline amongst staff members.
    • Updating backlogs of shipments to meet up with scanning standards.
    • Maintaining standards of hygiene by ensuring the work environment is constantly kept in a welcoming and conducive state for customers.

    Qualifications

    • Applicants MUST satisfy the following under-listed selection criteria:
    • Must have been in continuous employment with GIG LOGISTICS for not less than one year as an Experience Center Agent, or it's equivalent.

    Must have a minimum appraisal score of 90% in Q1, 2022 (January, February & March) appraisal.
