    Janitor

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    • Set up, arrange or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders or scaffolding to prepare facilities for meetings.
    • Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water using commercial cleaning equipment
    • Move heavy furniture, equipment or supplies
    • Clean equipment such as glassware or metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags or power cleaning equipment
    • Clean windows, glass partitions or mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners.

    Case Manager

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    • Support clients to access all OSS services including HIV care, treatment and support services, STI screening and PrEP.
    • Support community-level ARV refill along the differentiated model of care.
    • Elicit and document PNS of all HIV positive index KPs
    • Ensures HTS are provided for all eligible contacts of index clients
    • Ensures enrolment and initiation of ART for all positive contacts of index clients
    • In liaison with the adherence counselor, ensures regular monitoring of treatment adherence, community   tracking of defaulters / lost to follow up clients and facilitate their return to care.
    • Provides treatment education, adherence counseling and peer support to assigned clients at health facilities and community following the adherence support schedule.
    • Facilitates active referrals of clients to treatment through escort services.

    Data Entry Clerk (DEC)

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    • Support real time documentation on the EMR (DHIS, LAMIS, NOMIS, NGQUAL, and PITT).
    • Ensure daily update of all Databases.
    • Provide update on the information in the Database to the Clinician as at when needed
    • Work with other project staff and stakeholders in the state to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out appropriately to meet the donor and project’s M&E needs.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of health program activities, guidelines and processes.

    Front Desk Officer

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    He/she is the first point of contact with the KPs or any other person entering the OSS. He/ She must be a KP community member and must:

    • Greet all the entrant into the OSS

    Adherence Counsellor

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    • Provide psychosocial and continuous support as well as treatment preparation to clients in the health facility.
    • Provide counselling services including risk reduction counseling, harm reduction counseling, post-GBV counseling, or contraceptive/family planning counseling as required.
    • Identify and address challenges/barriers to adherence.
    • Organize and facilitate support group sessions for HIV infected and affected clients including groups with special needs e.g. discordant couples, youth/adolescent, and children.

    OSS Psychologist

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The main aim of the mental health program is to support the OSS in scaling up the mental health services in ECEWS GF GC7 Project. Ensuring the provision of comprehensive, quality services to Key and vulnerable populations in the OSS Centre. The incumbent will provide Clinical Psychology support through the performance of the following duties: 

    • Work within a multidisciplinary team in the OSS center according to the case management, bio-psychosocial approach;
    • Conduct screening and assessment of beneficiaries and develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans according to their needs;
    • Provide psycho-education to beneficiaries and their families;
    • Provide psychological support and counseling services to beneficiaries and their families;
    • Provide family support when needed;
    • Facilitate group therapy and support group sessions in coordination with the multidisciplinary team;
    • Conduct home visits to provide further psycho-social support when needed;
    • Organize community, rehabilitation and awareness activities for beneficiaries and their families in coordination with the multidisciplinary team;
    • Attend and contribute to the weekly clinical supervision meeting;
    • Ensure the complete and updated filing of beneficiary information, including follow-up visits and referrals.
    • Assist in performing other tasks as requested. 

    Required Qualifications:

    • BA/BSc in Psychology (MA degree is preferred). 
    • At least 6 months experience working within a multidisciplinary team.

    OSS Lab Scientist

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    • Performing laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support provision of the continuum of HIV treatment services
    • Preparing Dried Tube Specimen (DTS) panels for IQC and EQA (Proficiency testing) to support HTS on the project
    • Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses
    • Preparing specimens and samples
    • Maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment
    • Maintaining personal expertise in clinical laboratory practice and innovative technology and equipment

    • Supporting implementation and monitoring of biosafety and biosecurity in clinical service delivery, including the development of SOPs, guidelines and job aids          
    • Produce computerized records to interpret and archive laboratory results to be presented to clinic staff and project team for informed decision making
    • Provide support to the Strategic Information (SI) unit to support research (qualitative and quantitative) surveys on service delivery outcomes for HIV prevention, care and treatment.
    • Ensure timely submission of quality reports to the PR/SR on monthly and quarterly basis or as required.
    • Proactively seek out and report relevant opportunities, success stories, linkages or challenges that may promote laboratory services for the project.
    • Participate in Laboratory Technical Working Groups and represent the project at relevant fora
    • Carry out any assignment as may be decided by the Clinical Supervisor, PR/SR

    • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or other relevant field with prior relevant field with prior experience in Lab. Sciences and HIV/AIDS monitoring and evaluation.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in related programming in developing countries.
    • Experience in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
    • Experience in HIV/AIDS monitoring.

    OSS Nurse

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    • Provide comprehensive triage (in-clinic and/or mobile) and clinical assessment service to clients resulting in safe and appropriate clinical decisions that reflect their healthcare needs.
    • Facilitate the triage process using clinical knowledge and appropriate interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, and understanding.
    • Initiate appropriate nursing interventions (e.g. first aid and emergency interventions) to improve client outcomes and secure the safety of clients and clinic staff
    • Make recommendations for care utilizing approved SOPs and protocols.

    • Create new medical records including clients’ demographic information and other relevant parameters.
    • Maintain master client index by completing assigned sections of daily audit trail; correct and communicate problems according to established procedures.
    • Document accurate and concise clinical summary that outlines reasons for visit, decisions reached, relevant client history and follow up appointments with timescale given to client.
    • Monitor and report weekly enrolment.
    • Maintain records availability by processing files into the department; using file mark-off procedures; facilitating file location activities.
    • Retrieve medical records by following file-out procedures.
    • Deliver files to assigned areas of the hospital by following established routing procedures including computerized/automated file sharing.
    • Maintain accurate computerized and paper triaged assessment records.
    • Maintains quality results by following data SOP.
    • Maintain client confidence by keeping client records information confidential.
    • Serve and protect the clinic by adhering to professional standards, clinic policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Track file-out procedures and document reasons files cannot be retrieved for statistical and follow-up purposes.
    • Keep health care providers informed by communicating availability or unavailability of the record.
    • Maintain continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

    • Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in HIV/AIDS and SRH

    OSS Pharmacist

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    • Dispense Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) and other medication in line with approved regimens and standards
    • Dispensing ARVs in appropriate packaging with clear instructions
    • Providing medication-related counseling, including reinforcing adherence and advising on potential   side effects and drug interactions
    • Providing drug information to health service providers and clients on request
    • Identifying and supporting follow-up of clients who do not return for refills of their ARVs
    • Working with providers and clients to identify, manage, and report adverse drug reactions and drug interactions
    • Contributing to decision making on treatment and care for individual clients
    • Ensure Good Pharmaceutical Practice (GPP) and standards
    • Calculate drug storage needs for ART start-up and expansion
    • Monitor ARV and other drug (STIs, OIs, etc.) stock levels at the community level and communicate with the project team for re-stocking
    • Contribute to forecasting /quantification of health commodities and monitoring of drug distributions
    • Oversee drug logistics i.e. stock-taking, proper drug storage, drug stock out and monitor the effectiveness of the pull system
    • Assess the functionality of existing pharmaceutical management systems and develop implementation plans that prioritize and address gaps
    • Oversee quality assurance systems at the community level by close monitoring of prescription patterns, ensuring proper documentation, side effects monitoring (pharmacovigilance) and reducing dispensing errors
    • Identify needs for information resources—for example, ART guidelines and drug information for medication counselling
    • Implement monitoring and reporting of medication errors, suspected adverse reactions to medicines, and other medication-related events
    • Monitoring ART prescriptions for appropriateness and discrepancies
    • Monitoring adherence to ARVs; working with clients and other health service providers to address difficulties
    • Address emerging problems as client numbers increase
    • Contribute to the development of data collection tools for KPs (HTS, ART and Prevention for Positives)

    OSS Clinician

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The Doctor – OSS Clinician will provide general care to the KP clients and collaborate with the CBOs to ensure achievement of goals.

    The key roles of the Doctor include:

    • Working with program team to develop and/or review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the provision of ART services to Key Populations.
    • Provide ART services to Key Populations in line with current World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations and national guidelines both at the OSS and through mobile ART.
    • Oversee clinical HIV treatment protocols in each clinical department to reflect the needs of the target population and ensure consistency of treatment services throughout the OSS.
    • Ensure a seamless delivery of service for clients from intake through discharge at the OSS.
    • Review and assess client treatment protocols and plans, including short- and long-term goals.
    • Review clinical records to evaluate the necessary level of client care.
    • Effectively manage and supervise other clinical team members, health service providers, volunteers and case managers at the OSS as well as mobile ART teams.
    • Advise project team on national and state policies, procedures and licensing requirements and ensure compliance with all requirements and/or mandatory inspections.
    • Supervise weekly/monthly clinical staff meetings, Integrate OSS and mobile ART services with other project activities to enhance the achievement of project outcomes.
    • Provide support to the Strategic Information (SI) unit to manage data collection for service delivery to Key Populations in project communities using nationally approved tools.
    • Ensure timely submission of quality reports to the appropriate Quarters through the SR on monthly and quarterly basis or as required.
    • Support for data analysis, interpretation and use at the OSS.
    • Use of data at facility level for decision making towards improve service delivery at the OSS.
    • Liaise with ECEWS to use data for decision making on how to best tailor services according to the needs of the KPs.
    • Support the development of budgets and work plans for clinical services in the OSS, Provide support for prompt retirement of cash expenditure and advances.
    • Preparation of program reports, Proactively seek out and report relevant opportunities, success stories, linkages or challenges that may promote clinical services for the project.
    • Carry out any assignment as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Advanced Medical Degree (MD preferred)
    • Robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment (3years + preferable)
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft applications and other software
    • Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in HIV/AIDS treatment
    • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills including the ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.
    • At least 3 years of clinical experience in management of infectious disease, and of management of clinical services;
    • Experience working with the Key Populations
    • Experience in developing country health care programs
    • Experience in training and good Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Fluency in written and spoken English.
