    Driver / Messenger

    In this role you will be responsible to communicate and transport documents, mails and people to various offices of the QR group in Lagos. Deliver and receive documents/messages from clients/vendors in Lagos in a professional and timely manner and perform required Administrative tasks.

    You will also be responsible for, but not limited to:

    • Ensure the office vehicle is in good running condition and report promptly if any repairs/maintenance checks required.
    • Timely collection of all mails in the post office and assist in the sorting process.
    • Assists in any other office day-to-day work as directed by the supervisor (i.e. procurement, sorting of documents.
    • Ensures confidentiality of all the tasks carried out and handles documents with utmost care.
    • Updates the log book of documents delivered and received on a daily basis in order to ensure proper recording.
    • Performs filing and assist in all aspects of file keeping to maintain the smooth activities within administration whilst performing housekeeping duties in the filing room to ensure all items are stored correctly and tidily in their relevant locations

    About you: 

    • An ideal candidate will have a minimum of Basic literacy, Numeracy skills, & English communication skills with 1 year of job-related experience or experience in a multinational/hospitality organization will be preferred.  Be proficient in written and spoken English language. Have basic knowledge in all MS Office applications .
    • Successful candidate must have a valid driver's license.

    Airport Services Duty Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    Supervise and control flight-handling activities such as Flight Editing, Check-in, Transfers, and Boarding, etc., in order to ensure a high service standard. Achieve optimum customer satisfaction and on-time departure of flights. Excellent skill to deal with flight delays, disruptions, denied boarding etc. Deputize Airport Services Duty Officer and/or Airport Representative.

    Accountabilities

    • Acts as a Station coordinator in liaison with GHA and QR Department. Works closely with GHA and all airport departments to ensure that on-time Performance targets are met.
    • Ensures the progress towards on-time flight closure and passenger boarding Supervises airport team in achieving on-time performance.
    • Facilitates the Ramp Handling activities in liaison with GHA, Caterers, Fuels, Maintenance, Cargo, and Crew to expedite departure. Works with all departments to ensure on-time performance.
    • Utilization of maximum resources by planning efficient duty allocation for Customer Service Agents. Ensures efficient use of manpower during duty period.
    • Reviews aircraft allocations according to the Movement Signals / Late Arrivals / Loads etc. Ensures all departments are aware of operational messages and requirements
    • Provides support to Airport Services Duty Officer in case of Flight Disruptions, Misconnections, and Denied Boarding and ensures passengers are provided with all possible facilities. Ensures passengers are provided with full support during any disruption on his shift.
    • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
    • Any other operational tasks/responsibilities as may be assigned by the Airport Services Manager.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
    • Fluent in English both written and spoken
    • Advanced Customer Relations trainings such as Passenger services (Altea), Baggage Services (World Tracer), Ground operations (GSM/GOM), Dangerous goods Regulations, weight and balance, Sound knowledge of Amadeus Reservations & Ticketing, including ID/AD tickets (Industrial/Agent Discounted tickets)
    • High computer literacy
    • 5 years of job-related experience required

    Senior Airport Services Agent

    Job Role
    Provides quality service to passenger in respect to check-in, boarding, special services, lounges, airport hotel and baggage services as per company’s commercial and safety standards and procedures ensuring passenger and their baggage are handled in a consistent and efficient manner. Ensure Premium Passengers receive total quality service and staffs adhere to safety policy and security standards of the company.

    Accountabilities

    • Acts as the first contact between the Airline and its customers as well as all stake holders and agents who may need assistance with questions, portray QR image to the highest standards.
    • Ensure that airport operation meets QR’s standards; policies and procedures satisfy local and international safety and security standards and conform to aviation regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure all areas of operations, i.e. flight OPS (OTP), WBL, aircraft loading, baggage handling, departure, arrival, cargo handling run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Monitors all Gate and Check in activities ensuring the accurate, service oriented acceptance and boarding of passengers.
    • Ensure smooth handling of Customer service at the station.
    • Liaises with ramp and GHA staff and support Airport Services Supervisors in all areas.
    • Perform the Aircraft Turnaround Check (ATC) duty as assigned by the ASM to ensure safe operation of QR ground ramp product.
    • Operate aircraft cabin service doors from the outside where applicable to facilitate and reduce the associated safety risk of inadvertent slide deployment.
    • Escorting and directing Arriving/Departing passengers to the respective areas such as Hotel Desk, Visa Counter, Transfer Desk, Premium Lounges, and Boarding Gates.
    • Assists Duty Officer to handle company material and records.
    • Brief GHA on new procedures and ensure that they are implemented accurately and fully.
    • Ensure required pre and post flight administration in conducted timely, record accurately all flight activities.
    • Handle administrative issues related to monthly/quarterly reports. Ensure requests on operational service failure matters are responded to immediately with a high degree of accuracy and correctness.
    • Work with GHA and ensure all training records of their dedicated/assigned staff to QR are up to date.
    • Assist Passengers in regard to Entry Requirements, Visas, and Residence Permits. Carry out general profiling of passengers on need basis.
    • Carry out any verification as and when required to protect revenue and image of company by referring to relevant policy and procedure.
    • Ensure utmost priority is given to all security and safety related norms laid down by company, local authorities and relevant procedure is implemented/executed through GHA staff.
    • Ensure passengers are assisted smoothly through airport facilities.
    • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification
    • Courses in Passenger Handling and Customer Services such as introduction to Civil Aviation and Passenger Handling.
    • 3 years relevant experience
    • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
    • Ability to effectively manage mishandled baggage services, including service recovery situations with customers.

    Airport Services Duty Officer

    Job Purpose

    Responsible for the overall control of the shift. Monitor the activities of the sections at the airport and coordinating with other sections. Ensure punctuality and safety of all Qatar Airways operations.

    Accountabilities

    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and acts as liaison between airport service providers, and users.
    • Provides input and recommendations to management to improve the effectiveness of the daily operations.
    • Responsible in ensuring passenger and aircraft handling practices confirm to the safety and security.
    • Manage and control manpower on the shift in order to optimize utilization and to maintain staff’s morale and discipline.
    • Conducts spot-checks on to ensure adequate standards are maintained.
    • Responsible to resolve customer problems and complaints effectively liaising on a daily basis with all departments including Customer Relations to provide resolution for complaint handling.
    • Conduct briefing sessions for shift and GHA supervisors on a shift basis.
    • Compiling a detailed station handling report for Airport Duty Manager on a shift basis.
    • Manage the utilization of petty case expenses and keep a track of petty case expenditure in line with standard financial procedures. Monthly reports, FFP enrolments, LPC checks.
    • Petty Cash Custodianship, delegating duties of subordinates, monthly statistics.
    • Responsible to prepare monthly reports and LPC’s.
    • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

    Qualifications

    • Weight and Balance, Ramp handling, Dangerous Goods Regulation knowledge.
    • Must be able to perform duties under pressure while maintaining the highest levels of the customer service standards adhering to tight deadlines.
    • Flexibility to take up duty travel to out stations for covering various assignments.
    • High level computer literacy.
    • Good understanding of Qatar Airways Conditions of Carriage, International Civil Aviation Safety and Security procedures in accordance with ICAO and IATA and local authorities.
