    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    • The Principal IP Engineer will form a part of a highly skilled group of technical and management experts who are responsible of the technical overview of the MTN Infraco global fixed connectivity infrastructure as well as to support other business units with the utilization of the assets.
    • The role will oversee implementation of a secure Global IP/MPLS network to support MTNGC Services and/or service provider environment  

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Principal IP Engineer will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Conduct the operation and maintenance on Bayobab IP MPLS and IP transit nodes.  
    • Develop and maintain an IP address management strategy across the OpCos and Global Network  
    • Support the implementation of new product and services  
    • Ensure the proper implementation of high- and Low-Level Design submit by Planning department  
    • Align the Quality of Services definition and KPI across the Global and OpCo IP/MPLS networks

    • Maintain the service assurance at/above the service level agreement signed with customers.  
    • Perform automated off-line MPLS traffic engineering, leveraging exclusive algorithms that optimize resource utilization and ensure service survivability
    • Be proactive in recommending improvements to the Global and OpCo IP/MPLS network infrastructure in the drive for best-in-class service availability and reliability
    • Support SLAs and customer-specific reporting of this service, both internal (OpCos) and external end customers
    • Provide higher technical support to Global NOC and OpCo operations teams with regards to IP/MPLS infrastructure and escalate to vendors the major issues
    • Act as an interface between the engineering team and internal / external customers and provide all parties with expert engineering support
    • Define and update the existing installed base of networks & products across MTN Group as part of a product catalogue
    • Manage vendors about maintenance agreements, incident management and software deployment and circuit provision
    • Supervise IP/MPLS services’ implementation covering the installations, testing & handover

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

    Education:

    • Minimum 4 Year Academic Degree in Commercial/Financial and/or Technical/ Engineering Degree/Diploma or similar qualification  
    • English, French and Arabic (as advantage)  

    Experience:

    • 8+ years in relevant experience in the international telecommunication wholesales infrastructure industry in IP/MPLS Network Solution and Architecture design, configuration and testing
    • Relevant experience with managed networks, Minimum of 5 years of experience with multi-services platforms, routing platforms, routing protocols SIS/RIP/RSVP/OSPF/BGP/ IbGP/ and troubleshooting down to packet level

    Mission /Core purpose of the job 

    The Manager – Messaging Planning is expected to:

    • To provide Leadership to ensure the efficient and effective design, planning, deployment, optimisation, and commissioning of the Messaging Platforms including SMS Routers and SMS Firewalls and related service security and in line with the business requirements (required timelines, budget constraints and quality standards).

    Manager - Roaming Test.Bayobab

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    • The Test Manager has the overall responsibility to lead the end-2-end roaming testing strategy and implementation between the OpCo’s, the roaming partners, test equipment supplier.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Key Performance Areas:  Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)

    Core:

    • The Test Manager will be accountable to achieve the following KPA’s:
    • Deliver a GSMA-compliant roaming testing strategy for the Roaming Hub.
    • Lead the Testing Team and ensure an efficient roaming testing process
    • Deliver the Test Factory RVAS for all roaming partners and OpCo’s.  
    • End to end responsible for all IREG testing, TADIG testing and quality testing (GRQ) between MTN OpCo’s and the roaming partners
    • Ensure that SLA’s for testing and troubleshooting are maintained.
    • Ensure that monthly KPI’s are met for completed IREG tests, TADIG validation (TCC), IR.21 implementations, billing implementations and quality tests.
    • Keep the roaming footprint for OpCo’s up to date.
    • E2E onboarding of new customers
    • Logging and tracking of roaming quality issues for OPCOs/partners.
    • Monitor and report on international roaming performance.

    • The Test Manager is responsible in this position to:
    • Lead and be responsible for a team of IREG, TADIG and Quality coordinators, and Services Administrator 
    • Ensure day-to-day activities related to roaming testing, trouble-shooting, test prioritisation, test reporting, process escalations, and for setting test requirements in compliance with the GSMA.
    • Ensure contact between roaming partners and Roaming Operations IREG and TADIG testing and technical integration teams. 
    • Lead a team for E2E technical roaming testing (i.e. IREG - TADIG- quality service launch). 
    • Assume full responsibility to approve tests.
    • Efficiently use test units put at disposal to meet business objectives.
    • Ensure successful test provisioning to expand the MTN roaming services footprint.
    • Manage testing of all roaming services; e.g. GSM (IR.24), GPRS (IR.35), CAMEL (IR.32 & IR.60), 3G, 3.5G, 4G, and 5G.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    • The Specialist - Sales Roaming is directly responsible to providing support to the entire Roaming Sales team, with the development and implementation of innovative roaming agreements, interpreting timely wholesale roaming intelligent reporting and roaming contract administration.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Specialist – Roaming Sales will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    Core:

    • Analyse wholesale roaming pricing and revenue performance of wholesale IOT deals.
    • Aid the team with data to define a sales strategy to grow wholesale roaming revenues.
    • Help to define regional wholesale roaming negotiation targets to optimise roaming revenues. 
    • Maintain the Wholesale Roaming Dashboard to analyse and report on Wholesale performance.
    • Management of roaming agreements and databases; ensure that contracts are current and that partners operate to agreed SLAs, escalating deviance where required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse regional wholesale growth of the roaming hub from current wholesale roaming deals.
    • Create periodic reporting on roaming deals, performance of discount targets, steering impact, and pricing in support of the Wholesale team.
    • Provide roaming financial analysis and support the team in developing business cases.
    • Review and verify the accuracy of roaming rates defined in the IN/Billing System to guarantee correct billing and charging for services.
    • Prepare and evaluate budgeting and forecasting for Wholesale.
    • Develop databases and analytics or predictive models to identify revenue gaps/opportunities.
    • Facilitate the exchange of roaming documents, tariffs, and information between roaming partners and relevant stakeholders.
    • To ensure that roaming contracts are correctly filed, circulated with stakeholders and quarterly audits are carried out. 
    • Maintain a deep understanding of GSMA roaming processes and standards, ensuring compliance, and leveraging them to our advantage.
    • Autonomously operate within the policies, procedures, systems and frameworks applicable to the Roaming Section to enable the section to operate efficiently.
