    Lead, Data Engineering

    What You Will Get To Do

    • Build and maintain robust data pipelines processing large volumes of data
    • Analysis of large data sets using tools such as Python & SQL
    • Update and optimize our data platform for speed, scalability and cost
    • Coordinate with different functional teams to understand and meet their data needs
    • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

    To succeed in this role, you should have

    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer (5+ years, can be made up for with accomplishments)
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Advanced proficiency with SQL
    • Proficiency with Python
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)
    • Experience using version control tools such as git
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
    • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or any other related field

    Payment Operations Associate

    About the role

    • We are looking for a meticulous and commercially minded Card Operations Specialist with hands-on experience in handling Visa disputes and Chargebacks. You will own the end-to-end card operations, dispute lifecycle for card transactions, lead investigations, and drive recoveries while reducing recurring operational issues. The ideal candidate understands Visa scheme rules and workflows, has proven success working with Visa chargeback reason codes and platforms, and can turn dispute data into process improvements.

    Key responsibilities

    • End-to-end card lifecycle and operations (Card logistics, reconciliation, chargebacks, etc.).
    • Receive and triage disputes, inquiries, and chargeback requests.
    • Collect, analyze, and compile evidence (transaction logs, proof of delivery, customer communications, AVS/CVV results, merchant receipts, CCTV, etc).
    • Produce dashboards and regular reports (chargeback rate, win-rate, MTTR, recovery rate, reason code distribution).
    • Create and maintain SOPs, templates, evidence checklists, and knowledge base articles.
    • Train customer support, merchant operations, and other stakeholders on dispute handling best practices.
    • Work with finance to reconcile recovered amounts, chargeback fees, and refunds.

    Visa-specific procedures

    • Apply knowledge of Visa chargeback reason codes and the Visa dispute lifecycle (retrieval, chargeback, representment, pre-arbitration, arbitration).
    • Use Visa dispute platforms and workflows (e.g., Visa Resolve Online or equivalents) where applicable.
    • Ensure submissions meet Visa evidentiary requirements, formatting, and timeline constraints.
    • Maintain rigorous adherence to Visa scheme rules and internal policies.

    Required experience & qualifications

    • 3+ years handling card operations, disputes/chargebacks in a financial institution, preferably an issuer.
    • Direct, demonstrable experience handling Visa disputes (knowledge of Visa reason codes, dispute lifecycle, and Visa rules).
    • Experience working with issuers, payment processors, and/or dispute vendors.
    • Strong knowledge of card payment flows and common fraud/merchant/service issues.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Experience with ticketing/CRM systems (Zendesk, Jira).

    Nice to have:

    • Strong spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas); SQL for data pulls is desirable.
    • BI/dashboarding: Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
    • Basic scripting (Python/R) is advantageous for automation and data analysis.
    • Understanding of basic security controls.
    • Commercial literacy: understand cost impact (fees, refunds, revenue losses).

    Education/Certifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, IT, Risk, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Relevant certifications or payments industry training are a plus.

    Lead, Product Audit

    Role Overview

    • The Lead, Product Audit shall support the Chief Audit Officer, and Directors in aligning Internal Audit strategy with the overall business strategy of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank and act as an early warning system for business and financial risks, support business ethics and integrity initiatives. This role requires someone who is organized and methodical, who has very strong data analysis, revenue assurance and audit experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support all internal audit projects and investigations in the audit department with data analysis and data insights, which identifies hidden patterns, improves the sampling approach and overall quality of findings
    • Automate repetitive audit processes using data analysis and scripting techniques
    • Support Chief Audit Officer, and Directors from a data analysis perspective with developing audit plans, procedures, and programs which will be used to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control environment.
    • Contribute to the enterprise risk assessment process or activities of the internal audit department, by supporting the team with data insights where applicable.
    • Monitor and validate, as appropriate regulatory compliance requirements and accounting practices (including revenue assurance, cost optimization, treasury & financial report auditing and tax auditing) and strategies to optimize business performance, leveraging data analysis and data insights.
    • Perform audit review and prepare audit reports. Must ensure that audit evidences are appropriately collated and stored, and must ensure that audit working papers are adequately populated
    • Work with the Chief Audit Officer, Directors to ensure that all the performance indicators in the annual goals of the Internal Audit Division are achieved.
    • Develop competence and capacity of Audit Associates with training and coaching that reflect auditing best practices. Supervise the performance of Audit Associates.
    • Where required, represent Internal Audit at meetings with other business divisions in Moniepoint Group and external stakeholders.
    • Perform other job (ad hoc) related duties assigned by the Chief Audit Officer, Directors

    Required Knowledge & Skills

    • Strong knowledge and practical use of data analysis tools, preferably SQL
    • Practical experience of revenue assurance
    • Basic knowledge of risk management procedures, internal audit processes and regulatory compliance requirements
    • Driven and analytical skills
    • Has experience leading teams or team members
    • Has experience working with or providing data insights to senior management
    • Excellent communication skills and turnaround time
    • Self-driven and works with minimum supervision

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrates strong data analytics capabilities, preferably SQL database scripting and visualization methods, techniques and tools (e.g. IDEA, Power BI, Alterxy, Tableau, etc.)
    • Education: the successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution
    • The successful candidate must have leadership experience
    • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive data analysis and leadership experience in the financial services industry or in a Consulting Firm
