What You’ll Do
We are hiring adjunct faculty members to design course curriculum for the degree. This is a part-time, non-tenure track, curriculum design faculty position with no requirements of research. In this role, you will plan lessons, write exercises, and build projects for students to complete. Faculty will work closely with our core academic team, led by Keno (CAO) and Rob (CS Curriculum). Specifically, you will:
Develop the curriculum to give learners a strong theoretical and practical foundation
Curate and create learning materials, contribute to written materials, videos, exercises, and assessments, and help
Collaborate with instructional faculty to monitor/assess curriculum effectiveness, and make improvements
Note: this appointment is for curriculum design only, but we welcome applicants who are also interested in being course instructors in addition to curriculum designers.

What You’ll Do
We are hiring a Professor of Computer Science to focus on teaching and curriculum development. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, teaching faculty position with no requirements of research. This is Kibo’s first CS professor hire, and will be a core member of our academic team who will partner with Keno (CAO) and Rob (CS Curriculum) to define and execute on Kibo’s academic vision. Specifically, you will:
Build cutting-edge CS curricula that give learners a strong theoretical and practical foundation in computer science
Curate and create learning materials, help monitor/assess curriculum effectiveness, and contribute to improvements
Design synchronous and asynchronous active learning experiences that foster collaboration
Analyze curricula effectiveness, and make iterative improvements based on feedback and student performance
Inform the procurement and/or development of learning tools, and collaborate with technology teams to design, build, and assess learning tools
Prepare and teach Computer Science courses with approved curricula
Hold synchronous, virtual class sessions and office hours with learners
Interact with learners online via discussion forums, chat, etc.
Provide personalized and substantive feedback on learner work
Serve as a mentor for learners, and offer your unique personal and professional insights to help them grow
Create an engaging, challenging, and supportive online learning environment for learners, and help Kibo achieve its goals for student learning and retention
Build a collaborative academic team that supports adjunct faculty and teaching assistants
Develop and maintain relationships with industry and academic partners, remain current in your academic discipline and maintain any licensure or continuing education requirements

Expertise in 3 or more of the following: Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Databases, Programming Languages, Networks/Systems, Software Engineering, Visualization, User Interfaces, Data Science.
What You’ll Do
It’s an amazing time to join Kibo. We’ve recently launched our BSc in computer science are looking for a Content Marketing Manager to tell the story of our learning experience and connect Kibo to new leaners. You will be our chief storyteller and help translate our work and vision into compelling content that inspires and educates our core audience of 18-34 year old Africans who want to build a world-class tech career. You’ll also help us speak to other stakeholders including parents and the education industry at large. You will work closely with our outreach team and report directly to the CEO. Key responsibilities are:
Own the development and execution of a content marketing program. You will partner with experts — within and outside of Kibo — to create an editorial plan for blog posts, long form guides, and more
Collaborate with team members to identify compelling stories, then research, write, edit, and publish content to our channels
Own content marketing strategy and execution, including managing day-to-day creation, editing, promotion, and reporting
Manage our social media presence, and our website
Set goals for content engagement and identify opportunities to syndicate content
Track and analyze data on content performance, and iterate to improve reach
Manage interns, volunteers, and other content contributors
Implement strategies to scale content production

Have a love of writing and distilling complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand materials. Yet, you know content goes beyond what is written and are excited to tell our brand story through different mediums
Excellent written communicator: as a remote-first, globally distributed startup, we spend a lot of time communicating in writing and documenting our processes. Thus, clear, structured, and well-organized writing is a must.
Organized, operations-savvy and detail-oriented: You’re great at leading projects, prioritizing, and keeping everyone on track (and in the loop) to deliver on plans. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, without sacrificing accuracy, is a must.
Tech savvy: You’re proficient with CRM, automation, and database tools. You have proven success managing online marketing programs and tracking CPC, CPA and CPM cost models on content sites. You are excited to use tech to automate processes, and are comfortable and confident learning new tools.
Creative and entrepreneurial self-starter: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to build something from scratch.
Demonstrated experience identifying, writing, editing, and publishing on-brand content across social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) for organizations or brands
Required qualifications
5+ years of professional work experience owning and evaluating marketing campaigns
Preferred qualifications
Experience managing in-house or external design resources, and creating design briefs for social media assets (graphics, GIFs, video, etc.)
Experienced in implementing organic acquisition strategies, including SEO
