    Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer

    Job Role / Objectives

    • A Construction Company seeks to recruit a young and dynamic HSE Officer who would ensure facility and site compliance with corporate safety standards, improve safety performance.
    • Ensure safety policies and procedures, are practiced on-site and in the corporate office.

    Position Overview / Responsibilities

    • Assist in the coordination of workers' training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and the use of safety equipment.
    • Ensure all employees comply with all safety standards.
    • Assist in performance of safety audits inspection of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
    • Assist in investigating construction accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
    • Ensure workplace safety comply with HSE statutory requirements.
    • Conduct and present monthly safety findings.
    • Identify safety hazards, assess the risks, develop appropriate controls and facilitate implementation of controls.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field.

    • 1 - 3 years’ experience in field safety management.

    Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) Officer

    Job Roles / Objectives

    • We are recruiting a Quality officer to create, prepare and implement the QC/QA plan and any associated and relevant directives needed to support the plan.
    • To develop and manage the quality control and quality assurance procedures and ensure all activities are up to specifications and standards.

    Position Overview / Responsibilities

    • Perform all daily inspections and tests of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site.
    • Monitor and manage QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other QA/QC documents.
    • Develop written procedures for quality control/quality assurance.
    • Assist in performing needed tests on-site and in the laboratory to ensure conformity of material and works according to the contract specifications.
    • Establish and maintain procedures to develop standard documentation for construction works and quality control and assurance for the projects;
    • Develop and conduct robust procedures for quality assurance, and monitor implementation.
    • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any relevant field.
    • Registered with a recognized professional association.
    • 1 - 3 years’ experience in understanding and performing monitoring and compliance management in an organization.
    • Good knowledge of quality management system (ISO 9001:2015)
    • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, and working experience with Auto-cad and Primavera.
    • Ability to develop and manage non-conformance, deficiencies, and reporting programs, including root cause analysis.

    Laboratory Technician

    Job Role / Objectives

    • We are recruiting a young and dynamic Laboratory personnel to contribute in the process of planning, designing and execution of projects through construction materials sampling and testing, verification and validation to ensure compliance to project standards and specifications.

    Position Overview / Responsibilities

    • Collect samples according to the approved quality plan
    • Assist in the analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished samples.
    • Carry out all construction sample testing, including sieves and moisture analysis of samples.
    • Escalate any identified deviations from target quality standards promptly to the QA/QC officer and Project Engineer.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to the laboratory operations and maintenance of lab equipment’s and instruments.
    • Preparation of periodic lab analysis and activity reports
    • Ensure effective housekeeping in the laboratory.
    • Assist in the maintenance of ISO quality management systems in the unit.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field.
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in civil and building industry.
    • Previous experience with the soil tests, concrete tests and bitumen testing (highly regarded)
    • Hands-on knowledge of modern laboratory equipment, sampling methods and best practices
    • Ability to follow procedures accurately and efficiently;
    • Sound computer skills and ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices.

    Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) Manager

    Job Roles / Objectives

    • Responsible for all Compliance matters of all construction or maintenance projects and the organization as a whole.
    • This role also manages the company’s Quality Management System.

    Position Overview / Responsibilities

    • Ensure that compliance procedures, systems, and controls are up-to-date and effective.
    • Maintain the compliance manual, and all compliance procedure documentation
    • Develop and periodically review and update Standards of Conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in guiding management and employees.
    • Develops and implements a quality assurance program/plan for projects based on ISO 9001-2015.
    • Develop and monitor project QA/QC budgets.
    • Assure timely and effective implementation of a project quality control program.
    • Monitor project material usage along with design requirements.
    • Manages and oversees project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment-specific specifications, and QMS requirements.
    • Identifying and developing QA/QC personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs;

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in understanding and performing monitoring and compliance management in an organization.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or an HSE discipline.
    • Health and Safety Membership of relevant professional and industry associations (e.g.; NEBOSH).
    • Good knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
    • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Good knowledge of MS Office products, and engineering software.
    • Passionate about health and safety in the workplace.
    • Great interpersonal skills are critical in dealing with senior management committee members and in developing the HSE team.
