    Rig Supervisor

    Description
    The Rig Supervisor is responsible for every aspect of daily rig operations and supervises all employees working on the rig as well as drilling activities and rig equipment. This includes compliance with Company policies, rules and regulations, ensuring that employees and onsite personnel are working safely, planning maintenance and minimizing rig down time.
    The Rig Manager provides leadership, safety compliance and direction in resolving operational and personnel issues. The Rig supervisor is also responsible for planning and directing drilling operations, rig moves, as well as regular communication with Company personnel, third parties and other relevant stakeholders.

    Core Accountabilities
    1. Provide leadership to ensure safety of all onsite personnel with goal of working incident-free
    2. Supervision, direction, and training of drilling rig crew members including compliance with all safety and operational procedures
    3. Management of rig operations, production, maintenance, costs, and personnel to the meet the Company’s business objectives
    4. Understand Comprehensive Rig Inspection (CRI) criteria and strive for continual improvement by regularly inspecting and maintaining rig and equipment
    5. Initiate and foster productive partnership with Customer representative
    6. Understand and use basic management concepts and principles including delegation, motivation, discipline, goal setting and performance evaluation
    7. Efficiently and proficiently operate and maintain rig equipment by planning preventative maintenance including necessary replacement supplies
    8. Anticipate, quickly troubleshoot and resolve operational, equipment and maintenance issues to minimize rig downtime
    9. Plan daily rig operations with Driller and Customer representative
    10. Lead pre- and post-tour meetings including crew fit-for-duty evaluations
    11. Fill in for Driller or other rig-based employees as needed
    12. General upkeep of the rig and drilling floor; supervises regular sweeping, shoveling, cleaning, painting, washing of equipment and related housekeeping duties
    13. Plan and supervise rig moves including rig up / down procedures

    • Implement the QMS as defined by the manual and related procedures.
    • Obtain and communicate customer requirements to the appropriate personnel or functional organization.
    • Ensure that qualified personnel and other resources are available to implement the QMS.
    • Ensure that services satisfy customer requirements including quality, safety, cost, schedule, and performance; and
    • Ensure that personnel comply with applicable laws, regulations, specifications, standards, and documented procedures.
    • Ensuring the integration of the OHSMS and EMS requirements into the departmental processes
    • Ensuring effective management of environmental aspects, risks and opportunities and implementation of improvement programs
    • Ensuring that the environmental and occupational health and safety management systems achieves its intended results within department.

    Qualifications

    • A Degree in related Engineering field.
    • Minimum of 10 years Drilling operations experience
    • Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines
    • Proven Experience in handling large rigs

    Preferred Skills

    • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise all rig crew positions (Floorhand, Motorhand, Derrickhand, and Driller)
    • Must be able to utilize standard formulas and basic mathematical equations to compute and report various rig operation metrics
    • Must be able to verbally communicate directions and expectations effectively to the rig crew and third parties
    • Must possess strong Microsoft office skills (. e.g., reports, email, spreadsheets, graphs, etc.)

    Finishing Supervisor

    Description

    Summary: The incumbent will be accountable for overseeing all the finishing and interiors packages of works on a facility, supervising all materials, logistics and people coordination, and managing all site-based construction activities for the finishing works.

    Core Accountabilities
    1. Monitoring progress of the project & oversee the running operations of the construction project & make sure that it will meet the deadline.
    2. Supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
    3. Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly.
    4. Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency.

    Summary

    • Quantity Surveyor reports to Project Manager and is involved in maximizing project margin, adding value to the construction process by proactive involvement in procurement, cost management and reporting.
    • The Quantity Surveyor drive best value from suppliers and subcontractors. Carries out monthly financial reviews on projects and forecast final outturn values for cost, sales and margin.
    • The role will maximize value of monthly applications and measurement and submission of contract variations. Timely submission and negotiation of final accounts to the client / main contractor and subcontractors.

    Core Accountabilities

    • Work with project management team to develop project budgets and monitor to ensure that actual construction costs are kept within the approved project costs.
    • Prepare tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities (BOQ) details regarding quantities, with identified commercial risks and ensuring strict adherence to contractual terms and conditions
    • Negotiate costs, evaluating bids and procure the services of contractors, subcontractors, and consultants
    • Track variations to contracts that may affect costs and ensure accurate, robust, and timely cash flow and value reporting, periodical forecasting and cost management for projects
    • Track changes to designs and construction works and adjust budget projections accordingly
    • Liaise with contractors, consultants, client representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including analysing completed work, agreement of variations, claims and the preparation of applications for project payments
    • Minimize the costs of projects and enhancing value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
    • Identifying, analysing, and developing the necessary solutions to commercial risks.

      Registration Board of Nigeria)
    • Experience in performing cost control analysis, and drawing up reports on

    Preferred Skills:

    • Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales.
    • Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the
    • Building and Civil Engineering industry with the ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural and Mechanical & Electrical drawings.
