    Architect

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Create plans and drawings which clearly outline the architectural design of various projects
    • Utilize knowledge of engineering, math, science, and materials in order to create ideal finished product
    • Conduct site evaluations to ensure quality of work and adherence to safety standards
    • Develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building’s usage and environmental impact
    • Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections
    • Compile project specifications
    • Keep within timelines
    • Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations
    • Make on site visits to check on project status and report on project
    • Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals
    • Follow architectural trends and advancements.
    • Bring great, fresh ideas to the team that are project-appropriate
    • Develop vignettes and hand sketches of architectural ideas that work in the space and meet intended design goals; articulate why concepts work to the team using sound, logical reasoning
    • Produce concept boards of images for feedback and approval from the CTO/MPMO, which capture the intended look and attitude and that reflect branding and positioning with architecture, color, finish materials, and lighting
    • Select in-budget materials and finishes that support the concepts
    • Consistently incorporate scale and balance, designing elements that ‘fit’ the space for maximum impact
    • Distinguish and consider the needs of different styles and looks, and deliver those styles without letting personal preferences impact choices
    • Design holistically, not just segmentally, so that spaces flow consistently, areas tie together for maximum impact, and secondary focal points are established and used to build upon the underlying look and attitude
    • Demonstrate proficiency in lighting as a design element, including how to use lighting and shadows for impact
    • Regularly follow trends in Real Estate, architecture, and interior design so that own work and ideas are of an ‘international’ caliber and level of sophistication, and in order to incorporate the latest technology and operational needs

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
    • 5 years of experience in construction and architecture
    • Member of ARCON
    • Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
    • Must have a strong 2D and 3DRendering skill.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch Up, 3d Studio VIZ, Rhino 3D or similar
    • Member of The Nigerian Institute of Architects
    • Proven working experience as an Architect
    • Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
    • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.

    Job Description

    • Create content strategies for the organization.

    • Create guidelines that define our company’s voice both online and offline (including terminology and slogans)
    • Brief our creative team about marketing projects they’ll be working on (for example ebooks, email campaigns and advertising banners)
    • Conduct competitive research to identify our strengths and weaknesses
    • Design promotional campaigns for new products and markets
    • Develop our social media strategy
    • Assess the performance of our advertising campaigns and events
    • Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities and challenges
    • Writing letters and creating compelling proposals, and other forms of external communications
    • Establish good correspondence with international organisation/embassies for partnership

    Requirements

    • B.Sc / M.Sc in Communication / Marketing / Advertising or relevant field
    • 6+ years Work experience as a content and Brand Strategist or similar role in Marketing
    • Portfolio of brand-building projects is a MUST.
    • Good grasp of SEO and HTML
    • Working knowledge of content management software, such as WordPress and Joomla
    • Mastery of graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver
    • A keen eye for detail, ability to multitask, and strong analytical skills
    • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
    • Experience developing marketing strategies based on market segmentation

    Senior Quantity Surveyor

    Job Description

    • Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents.
    • Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.
    • Managing project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs.
    • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions.
    • Provide expert advice on procurement, risk management and cost-saving measures.
    • Understanding the client requirements and quantities take off as per marking and RCP drawings.
    • Preparing BOQ (bill of quantities) by studying specification sheets from the sales team.
    • Identifying gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for a logical closure.
    • Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Participation in the pre-tendering activities with client, architect and project managers and raising relevant pre-bid queries from the given tender.
    • Preparing the initial quote and contract for the sales team from the company’s side.
    • Coordination with the design team for analysing architectural and service drawings.
    • Manage the valuation of work done and handle claims and variations.
    • Preparing interim and final valuations, variations and claims of the construction site.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project outcomes and achieve value for money.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying
    • 7+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry.
    • Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations and standards.
    • Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques.
    • Knowledge of service guidelines, such as the National Building Code (NBC), ANSI/ASHRAE for HVAC, and LEED for green buildings.
    • Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.
    • Understanding general contracting, design-build, package contracting, value-based project and loading margins and lumpsum in commercial fit-out, residential, hotel or retail projects.
    • Experience working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from the given drawings.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities.
    • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
    • Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure.
