    Human Resources Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct local staff recruitment
    • Conduct orientation for new employees
    • Develop and implement a systematic/annual employee performance evaluation program
    • Assist Akesis Health Nigeria managers in counseling underperforming staff
    • Process terminations in accordance with Akesis exit policies
    • Review, update and refine Akesis HR policy manual and local annexes on a periodic basis
    • Administer staff benefit programs such as Group Life & Medical Insurance and serve as resource person for staff benefit questions
    • Support Finance on the monthly submission of staff timesheets and update required files to support payroll preparation
    • Prepare transfer letters and visa letters as necessary
    • Respond to employment verifications requests
    • Coordinate temporary employee staffing
    • Manage employee database related to new hire, change of status & performance evaluation
    • Develop employee training programs
    • Identify HR issues and provide necessary support as required.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    • Must have a Degree in HR related field such as Business Administration or any Social Sciences
    • At least 3 years experience as a HR Generalist.
    • Work experience with NGOs is an added advantage
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and work independently
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills
    • Fluency in oral and written English
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook

    Laboratory / Compliance Advisor

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support and supervise the Laboratory Logistics Officer on the coordination and implementation of the GHSC-PSM NISRN transportation and results delivery across assigned states
    • Ensure that weekly and monthly field reports are reviewed timely, quality assured, and in conformance to the subcontract KPls / deliverables; and ensure timely submission of reports to the Client.
    • Carry out periodic review of NISRN Transport Vendors performance to ensure they consistently deliver quality services that meets Client's expectations; and provides recommendations for improvement and optimization of the NISRN strategy.
    • Support the Laboratory Logistics Officer to respond in timely manner to all GHSC-PSM requests and queries with respect to NISRN Transport field activities.
    • Champion the implementation of OMS for all AFN operations and ensure that Site Master File and Quality Manual are in place and updated. Also, responsible for the management and Control of all SOPs in the organization, as well as ensure development of SOP training matrix for all operations.
    • Review quarterly self-inspection report from each of tire warehouses and consolidate the reports by highlighting open issues for management review, as well as follow upon all the open issues to ensure full closure.
    • Responsible for planning and executing annual internal quality audits for all the warehouses and head office. Lead and drive CAPA management from all quality findings including all external quality audits.
    • Ensure that all incidents are promptly reported, logged, investigated and resolved through corrective and preventive action management approach.
    • Responsible for the management of Quality Risk Register
    • Provide support to the Business Development Team on proposal development for laboratory related interventions in soliciting for donor projects.
    • Provides technical leadership on laboratory matters relating to formulating objectives, work plans and budgets, policies, organizational structure including physical laboratory structure and space issues.
    • Attend review meetings with Clients on NISRN Transport and all quality related mailers.
    • Perform other duties that maybe assigned by the Regional Director or immediate supervisor.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in science or related fields.
    • Master’s in Supply Chain or Public Health would be an added advantage
    • Knowledge of public health supply chain management
    • Knowledge of packaging, handling, and transportation of temperature sensitive and biological products.
    • Experience in Quality Assurance functions as it relates to GOP and Quality Management Systems
    • Intermediate / Advanced computer skills to include the use of MS Office packages
    • Ability to multitask, set priorities and work independently
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Fluency in written & oral English.

    Monitoring & Evaluation Consultant

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Data analysis and recommendations.
    • Preparation of charts and show casing the organizations achievements with data
    • Identifying gaps / issues discrepancies and facilitating corrections
    • Reviewing reports towards quality Improvement
    • Carrying out NlSlN POD reconciliation with the monthly reporting tracker for all the states.
    • Collation of data for key performance indicator and monthly presentation to our clients
    • Following up with vendors on the submission of Temperature Log data.
    • Submission of NISRN monthly invoice to GHSC-PSM.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human, Biological or Health Science
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation experience is desired
    • Knowledge of Lab or Health Commodity Logistics man added advantage.
    • Intermediate Computer Skills to include the use of MS Office packages
    • Ability to multitask, set priorities and work independently.
    • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Fluency in written and oral English.

    Sample Transport Supervisor (STS)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the implementation of the NISRN sample transportation and results delivery network across all the health facilities / hubs in the assigned PCR lab / state.
    • Ensure samples are collected from all designated health facilities/hub sites and transported to PCR laboratory using a common mechanism for sample pick-up, shipment, and the return of results to the health facility.
    • Monitor sample integrity and report from the assigned PCR Labs on a weekly basis and maintain record.
    • Conduct spot check on the Vendors transport facility and cooling devises to ensure compliance with standard requirement
    • Review on weekly basis or as may be needed routing for sample pickup and result collection.
    • Maintain weekly and monthly record of number of samples transported and result retrieved from PCR Labs for the different specimen type.
    • Submit report using the monthly summary sheet.
    • Document weekly activities using the 3P1. report template
    • Conduct supportive supervisory visits to all facilities with a view to strengthen quality service provision.
    • Submit a monthly report to the Laboratory Logistic officer on the overall situation of sample referral in the state.
    • Build capacity and mentor the transporters on the triple packaging system and biosafety of the NISRN sample transport
    • Provide recommendations for improvement and optimization of the NISRN sample transport.
    • Support achievement of the overall project goals as required to ensure project performance.
    • Carryout POD reconciliation to ensure 100% order fulfilment.
    • Arrangement PODs serially by facility, by state and send to Country Office, Abuja.
    • Ensure compliance to all relevant SOPs in discharge of your duties.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
    • Holder of Microbiology Degree with experience in health commodities logistics can also apply.
    • Master’s in Public Health would be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Registered with MLSCN
    • Knowledge of packaging, handling. and transportation of temperature sensitive and biological products.
    • Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
    • Knowledge of Laboratory Commodity Logistics or Health Commodity Logistics
    • Capacity to support health systems strengthening.
    • Intermediate / Advanced Computer Skills to include the use of MS Office packages and Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to multitask set priorities and work independently
    • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Fluency in written and oral English.
