    Electro Technical Officer

    A global energy infrastructure and technology company whose geographical presence extends across the world, from Africa, the Americas, Europe and Asia.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The maintenance and repair of the unit’s electronic and electrical equipment.
    • Be literate with Emergency Shutdown and Fire and Gas Detection systems
    • Take supportive role as backup personnel to production Instrument Technician

    Special Responsibilities

    • To be fully familiar with rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities.
    • The maintenance and repair of all electronic and electrical equipment including:
      • High and low voltage systems
      • Safety and alarm systems
      • Bridge equipment
      • Radio equipment
      • Internal communications equipment
      • Steering systems
      • Engine room equipment
      • Generators and motors
    • To report any hazardous situation or equipment failure to MSUP as appropriate
    • Familiar with the PTW System
    • Carry out routine safety/mugger tests and checks on equipment as required by MSUP
    • That electrical and electronic spare parts and stores are checked and safely stored and that replenishments are ordered through the MSUP
    • Maintenance of computer network

    • Electro Technical Officer Certificate, STCW95 – Reg. III/6

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Have completed approved education and training and meet the standard of competence specified in section A-III/6 of the STCW Code; and
    • Meet the standard of competence specified in section A-VI/1 paragraph 2, section A-VI/2 paragraph 1 to 4, section A-VI/3 paragraph 1 to 4 and section A-VI/4 paragraph 1 to 3 of the STCW Code
    • Excellent command in English written and spoken
    • Have completed not less than 12 months of combined workshop skills training and approved seagoing service of which not less than six months shall be seagoing service as part of an approved training program which meets the requirements of section A-III/6 of the STCW Code and is documented in an approved training record book, or otherwise not less than 36 months of combined workshop skills training and approved seagoing service of which not less than 30 months shall be seagoing service in the engine department

    Special Responsibilities

    • To execute general maintenance and cleaning tasks in conformance with work procedures and/or quality plans as instructed by SMTE
    • To execute assigned tasks safely, to the best of his ability, and to report hazardous conditions without delay to SMTE or JMTE
    • Be familiar with PTW system
    • Get acquainted with purpose of all machinery systems and the way they operate

    • Certificate as Able Seafarer Engine room – STCW95 Reg. A-III/5

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Meet the requirements for certification as a rating forming part of an engine watch
    • While qualified to serve as a rating forming part of an engineering watch, have approved seagoing service in the engine room of:

    • Not less than 6 months and have completed approved training; and
    • Meet the standard of competence specified in section A-III/5 of the STCW Code
    • Good English written and spoken

    Fluids Supervisor

    CLIENT SUMMARY

    The client is a global integrated energy company that produces and markets energies.

    SERVICE PURPOSE

    To guarantee the accomplishment of the drilling and/or completion and/or work-over operations (Drilling Fluids engineering and products, Cementing, Waste Management (Rig site cuttings treatment, bulk cuttings transfer and onshore cuttings treatment and disposal), in compliance with codes of practice, safety and environmental protection, all while optimizing costs and lead times.

    CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

    • Tough Environmental discharge requirements regulated by DPR (as summarized in the EGASPIN) and FMENV.
    • High Health, Safety & environment risks associated with fluids engineering equipment: noise pollution vibrations from mud pumps, cement units, shale shakers etc.; and exposure to oil mud vapors.
    • Coordination of operations from the onshore base and the rig site.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure the follow-up of the fluids related operations which include drilling fluids engineering and products, cementing, waste management (rig site cuttings treatment, bulk cuttings transfer and onshore cuttings treatment and disposal).
    • Interface with the rig Contractor’s personnel and ensure Equipment and Services meet operational needs
    • Ensure the execution of services in line with the Fluids (mud and cement) programs drawn up by Onshore Fluids Superintendent.
    • Ensure contractors respect COMPANY’s referential standards and COMPANY RULES are adhered to.
    • Ensure rig-site reports are correct and prepared in a timely manner
    • Support COMPANY’s Representative as the main contact for all fluid-related operations at the rig-site
    • Follow up the execution of fluids, cement, solids control and waste management services at the rig-site
    • Supervise all critical rig-site fluid-related operations, like cementing, mud displacements, completions, specialized testing procedures and the like.
    • Ensure strict adherence of the rig-site Contractor representatives to the programs/jobs required
    • Interface between the Onshore Fluids Superintendent and Contractor representatives
    • Ensure correct and timely completion of each phase of work, post job reports
    • Ensure rig-site execution of service quality improvement plans by rig-site Contractor representatives
    • Participate in optimizing the activities of service Contractors and evaluating their performance
    • Be aware of the relevant Environmental and Regulatory guidelines regulated by the DPR (as summarized in the EGASPIN) and FMENV.
    • Anticipate operational needs, with rig-site Contractor Engineers and place orders through Onshore Fluids Superintendent.
    • Be involved in setting up operational structures and execution at the rig-site
    • Ensure that service delivery meets with good Quality, Health, Safety and Environment practices
    • Collaborate with Onshore Fluids Superintendent for effective logistics coordination in respect of supply boats, quantity of products and the like.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Qualifications: Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s degree in any Sciences or Engineering
    • Number of years of professional experience: + 7 years in FLUIDS (drilling fluids, cementing and waste management) business
    • Spoken Languages: Fluent in English (French – an added advantage)
    • Trainings / Certifications: Must possess current IWCF, BOSIET & Medical certifications.
