    Group Chief of Staff/Senior Executive Assistant (Construction, Real Estate)

    JOB SUMMARY

    • The Group Chief of Staff will play a critical role in steering the company's strategic direction, overseeing business expansion, optimizing operations, and leading corporate development initiatives.
    •  This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven record in management and the ability to oversee major corporate initiatives and communication across all levels of the organization.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Business Expansion:

    • Oversee international market entry strategies including market research, evaluating joint ventures or acquisitions, and setting up operational frameworks.
    • Lead the development and launch of new business lines, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.

    Strategic Planning and Implementation:

    • Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company’s financial and operational goals.
    • Drive initiatives in market analysis, product diversification, and technology adoption to fuel business growth.

    Corporate Development:

    • Manage the mergers and acquisitions process, from scouting to integration, and strategize for potential company exits.
    • Facilitate capital-raising efforts with financial stakeholders to secure equity or debt financing.

    Operational Excellence:

    • Optimize business operations through technology integration and process refinement.
    • Lead corporate restructuring efforts, establishing new departments and realigning existing ones to achieve operational goals.
    • Implement systems to monitor and report on operational performance for informed decision-making.

    Change Management:

    • Direct organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and alignment across the company.

    Executive Team Alignment:

    • Enhance communication and decision-making among senior leaders.
    • Manage board meeting preparations, including agenda creation and compliance with governance standards.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Represent the CEO in high-stakes negotiations and engagements with external and internal stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships to support corporate initiatives.

    Talent Management:

    • Support leadership recruitment and development, aligning talent management with the company’s long-term goals.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within a related industry.
    • Proven track record of leading large-scale projects and initiatives.

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to think strategically and analytically.
    • Proficient in using project management software.
    • Willingness to travel as required.

    Group Head, Legal & Compliance

    Job Summary:

    • As the Legal and Regulatory Manager for the Holding Company, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards across the group.
    • Responsibilities will include developing and implementing regulatory strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that products and processes meet all relevant regulatory guidelines.
    • This role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory processes, framework and requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute regulatory strategies and plans to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable steps for the organization.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subsidiaries to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met throughout the financial year.
    • Prepare and ensure timely submission of regulatory documents. Liaise with regulatory authorities and act as the primary point of contact during inspections, audits, and regulatory agency interactions.
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to manage regulatory risks.
    • Establish and update compliance manuals. Provide regulatory guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including project development teams, to ensure that regulatory requirements are incorporated into the development process.
    • Drafting and negotiating simple and complex contracts including but not limited to those related to partnerships with third parties.
    • Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests. Collaborate with other departments/subsidiaries to create a culture of compliance.
    • Brief, manage and oversee external legal advisors by liaising with external lawyers and Clients.
    • Build and maintain relationship with government officials and third parties: initiate or attend meeting with external parties and share any update from legal department with other departments and management teams, visit to relevant authority or third party for clarification and documentation.

    Required skills and Qualifications

    • University degree in Law, with post-graduate education in compliance and risk management is preferred. 8-10 years of post-bar experience in legal and financial services, regulatory compliance, and risk management role
    • Must have experience working in a law firm, registrar or group of companies. Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters with significant experience of advising on complex legal issues and comfortable providing understandable, accurate and timely advice on dynamic and complex business issues.
    • IT literacy and strong organizational skills; delivering on deadlines and to budget.
    • Strong knowledge of regulatory affairs, principles, regulations, and guidelines and exceptional attention to detail and ability to review and interpret technical documentation, data, and regulatory guidelines accurately
