    Resource Mobilization Officer

    Job Description

    • We are seeks to recruit an experienced, innovative, and results-oriented Resource Mobilization Officer on a fixed-term contract basis.
    • The Resource Mobilization Officer will lead the organization's efforts to secure sustainable funding and strategic partnerships to support WEWE's mission of improving the lives of widows, orphans, vulnerable women and children, and underserved communities, experience in resource mobilization strategies such as crowdfunding, placing donation boxes, proposal writing, and YouTube monetization
    • The successful candidate will develop and implement resource mobilization strategies such as crowdfunding , placing of donation boxes in strategic place, write proposals, identify funding opportunities, coordinate fundraising campaigns, support digital fundraising initiatives, and explore innovative income-generation opportunities to strengthen organizational sustainability.
    • WEWE wishes to recruit a talented, God-fearing Resource Mobilization Officer who has a call from God to serve Widows and Orphans and who believes in working with local organizations. We are looking for someone who has integrity, recognizes Nigerians' ingenuity, and believes that the best of Nigeria can be better than the rest.
    • This position is being recruited based on merit. We do not have a pre-existing candidate and genuinely seek the best candidate to add value to the organisation.

    Responsibilities

    • S/he will develop and implement resource mobilization strategy to ensure sustainable funding for organization programs and operations.
    • S/he will identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with institutional donors, foundations, corporate organizations, faith-based institutions, philanthropists, and strategic partners.
    • S/he will lead fundraising initiatives, including grant acquisition, crowdfunding campaigns, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising events, digital fundraising, and other innovative fundraising approaches.
    • S/he will research and track local and international funding opportunities aligned with WEWE's strategic priorities.
    • S/he will write high-quality proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest, fundraising pitches, partnership proposals, and donor reports.
    • S/he will explore innovative revenue-generation opportunities, including , social media fundraising campaigns, content monetization initiatives, and community-based fundraising mechanisms.
    • S/he will work closely with program and finance teams to develop project budgets, fundraising targets, and donor-compliant submissions.
    • S/he will monitor fundraising performance and provide periodic reports on resource mobilization achievements against agreed targets.
    • S/he will maintain an up-to-date database of donors, partners, prospects, funding opportunities, and fundraising activities.
    • S/he will represent WEWE in donor meetings, networking events, partnership forums, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
    • S/he will support organizational sustainability initiatives and contribute to the achievement of annual fundraising and partnership targets.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Health, Mass Communication, Business Administration, English, or any related field from a recognized institution.
    • A Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
    • The successful candidate will be based in Abuja.

    Experience Requirements:

    • 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, donor engagement, business development, partnership development, or grant acquisition within NGOs, development organizations, faith-based organizations, or social enterprises.
    • Proven track record of raising a cumulative funding portfolio of at least USD 500,000. Candidates who have mobilized funding exceeding USD 1,000,000 will have a distinct advantage.
    • Experience managing crowdfunding campaigns, digital fundraising initiatives, social media fundraising campaigns, donor acquisition programs, sponsorship arrangements, fundraising events, and innovative income-generation initiatives.
    • Demonstrated evidence of successfully mobilizing significant funding from diverse sources, including institutional donors, foundations, corporate organizations, philanthropists, crowdfunding initiatives, faith-based networks, digital fundraising platforms, and individual donors.
    • Evidence of designing and implementing successful resource mobilization strategies that resulted in increased organizational income and sustainability.
    • Experience leveraging both traditional and innovative fundraising approaches, including grant acquisition, crowdfunding campaigns, digital fundraising, social media fundraising, corporate partnerships, donor stewardship, sponsorships, donation boxes, fundraising events, and online content monetization initiatives.
    • Experience working with faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, or vulnerable populations will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent writing, editing, research, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to develop compelling technical narratives, concept notes, budgets, and supporting fundraising documents within tight deadlines.
    • Technology savvy, i.e., ability to use social media handles, internet, send email, etc.
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills. (Must be friendly).

    Quantity Surveyor

    Qualifications / Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Estate Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum of 5–10 years of proven professional experience in quantity surveying, cost management, and construction project administration.
    • Registration with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) is required.
    • Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is highly desirable.
    • Professional certifications in project management, construction management, procurement, or contract administration will be an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of housing development, real estate projects, and social housing initiatives will be an advantage.
    • Demonstrated experience in real estate, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects.

    Urban Planner

    Qualifications / Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Town Planning, Urban Development, Environmental Planning, Geography, Architecture, Land Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Registration with the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC) is required.
    • Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) is highly desirable.
    • A Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Sustainable Development, Housing Development, Smart Cities Planning, or a related field will be an added advantage.
    • Professional certifications in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Smart City Planning, Environmental Planning, Project Management, or related disciplines will be an advantage.
    • 5–10 years of proven professional experience in urban and regional planning, land-use planning, housing development, and infrastructure planning.
    • Knowledge of housing development, real estate projects, social housing initiatives, and smart city concepts will be an added advantage.
    • Demonstrated experience in planning residential estates, smart cities, housing developments, urban renewal projects, or large-scale community development initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of Nigerian urban planning laws, development control regulations, environmental standards, and planning best practices.
    • Proficiency in GIS applications, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, QGIS, and other urban planning and mapping software.

    Civil and Structural Engineer

    Qualifications/Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is required.
    • 5 - 10 years of proven professional experience in civil and structural engineering, construction supervision, and infrastructure development.
    • Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and other relevant professional bodies is highly desirable.

    Qualifications / Experience Requirements:

    Microsoft Excel and Power BI Tutor

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assess the current knowledge and skill levels of WEWE staff in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
    • Develop a comprehensive training plan, curriculum, and learning materials tailored to the needs of WEWE staff.
    • Deliver practical and interactive training sessions on Microsoft Excel, covering topics such as formulas, functions, data management, data analysis, pivot tables, dashboards, charts, reporting, and advanced Excel tools.
    • Deliver practical and interactive training sessions on Microsoft Power BI, covering data importation, transformation, modeling, visualization, dashboard creation, report development, and business intelligence applications.
    • Provide hands-on exercises, case studies, assignments, and practical demonstrations to enhance learning outcomes.
    • Support staff in applying Excel and Power BI tools to real organizational data and reporting needs.
    • Evaluate participants’ learning progress through assessments, practical exercises, and feedback mechanisms.
    • Prepare and submit training reports, including participant performance, recommendations, and areas for further capacity development.
    • Provide post-training support and guidance where necessary to reinforce learning and application of acquired skills.
    • Collaborate with management to ensure the training aligns with organizational strategic plan, objectives and staff development goals.
    • Maintain professionalism and adhere to WEWE’s policies, values, and ethical standards throughout the consultancy period
    • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or any related field from a recognized institution.
    • Professional certifications in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related fields will be an added advantage.
    • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar certification is highly desirable.
    • Additional certifications in training, facilitation, or adult learning methodologies will be an advantage.

    Experience Requirements:

    • 3–5 years of proven experience in teaching, training, coaching, or facilitating Microsoft Excel and Power BI courses.
    • Demonstrated experience delivering practical, hands-on training to professionals in NGOs, private sector organizations, government institutions, or development organizations.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, pivot tables, dashboards, data analysis, automation, and reporting.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, data visualization, dashboard development, report creation, and business intelligence solutions.
    • Experience developing training materials, exercises, assessments, and practical learning tools.
    • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to simplify complex concepts and adapt training methods to varying levels of learner expertise.
    • Technology-savvy with strong digital literacy skills.
    • Location: The successful candidate will be based in Abuja.
