    Head of Programs

    Purpose of the Position

    • The Head of Programs provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership across all organizational programs.
    • This position is responsible for, leading program design, implementation, and oversight across sectors, driving proposal development and donor engagement, ensuring compliance with donor, statutory, and organizational standards, strengthening partnerships, program quality, and staff capacity.
    • The role is critical for ensuring VISTA Initiative delivers high-impact, evidence-based, and sustainable programs that meet donor expectations and community needs.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Program Leadership:

    • Lead the development and execution of the organizational program strategy, ensuring alignment with national priorities and donor frameworks.
    • Translate the VISTA Initiative strategic plan into actionable, high-impact programs.
    • Provide strategic guidance to the Executive Director and Senior Management Team on programmatic decisions.

    Proposal Development and Donor Engagement:

    • Lead the development of concept notes, project proposals, budgets, and implementation plans for funding opportunities.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, International Development, or related field.
    • Minimum 7 years of program management experience in NGOs/INGOs, with at least 3 years in senior leadership.
    • Proven experience in multi-sectoral humanitarian and development programs.
    • Demonstrated success in proposal development, donor engagement, and resource mobilization.

    MEAL Officer

    Purpose of the Position

    • The MEAL Officer will lead the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems across all VISTA Initiative programs.
    • The position ensures high-quality data collection, analysis, reporting, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and learning for continuous program improvement.
    • The MEAL Officer will also support proposal development, donor reporting, assessments, and evidence generation to strengthen funding opportunities and program impact.

    Key Responsibilities
    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Design and implement MEAL frameworks, logical frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools for all projects.
    • Support baseline, midline, endline, and post-distribution monitoring (PDM) assessments.

    WASH Officer

    Purpose of the Position

    • The WASH Officer will provide technical and operational support for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of WASH programs.

    Education Officer

    Purpose of the Position

    • The Education Officer will support the implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of VISTA Initiative education programs across multiple field locations.

    • Experience with TaRL, ABEP, RANA/KARI, NFE, or remedial education programs.
    • Familiarity with Nigeria Learning Passport, blended learning, AI-supported education tools, and livelihoods integration is an advantage.
    • Experience in proposal development, donor engagement, advocacy, and field-based program monitoring.

    Finance and Compliance Officer

    Purpose of the Position

    • To strengthen financial accountability, ensure donor and statutory compliance, and support effective financial management across all programs.
    • In addition, the Finance and Compliance Officer will support proposal and concept note development, donor engagement, and program budgeting to improve funding opportunities and program sustainability.

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Management and Accounting:

    • Maintain accurate and complete financial records using accrual accounting in line with NGO standards.
    • Record, classify, and reconcile all financial transactions in QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar systems.
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved.
    • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

    Budget Management and Cost Control:

    Human Resources & Administration Officer

    Purpose of the Position

    • The Human Resources & Administration Officer will support effective human resource management, administrative systems, and organizational efficiency at VISTA Initiative.
    • The position ensures compliance with Nigerian labor laws, donor requirements, and organizational policies, while also contributing to proposal development through HR staffing inputs, costed positions, and compliance documentation.

    Key Responsibilities
    Human Resources Management:

    Job Summary

    • The Nutrition Officer will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of nutrition programs in line with international standards, and donor requirements.
