About the Role

• TAAS Group of Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physics/Chemistry Teacher with strong expertise in practical teaching and student preparation for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations.
• The ideal candidate must have extensive classroom and laboratory experience, a passion for science education, and the ability to train and mentor students to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Physics and Chemistry effectively at the senior secondary school level.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials aligned with WAEC, NECO, and JAMB standards.
• Conduct engaging practical sessions in line with examination requirements, ensuring students are competent in laboratory skills.
• Train and mentor students to excel in external examinations (WAEC, NECO, JAMB).
• Monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress, providing feedback and extra support where necessary.
• Maintain discipline, create a stimulating learning environment, and inspire students’ interest in science.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school management to improve academic outcomes.
• Ensure safety and proper use of laboratory equipment and materials.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• 5–10 years of proven teaching experience in Physics and Chemistry at the secondary school level.
• Demonstrated expertise in practicals and hands-on laboratory instruction.
• Excellent track record of preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills.
• Must reside in Ibadan, preferably within or close to the Apata region for accessibility.

Position Summary

• TAAS Group of Schools is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Physical & Health Education (PHE) Teacher with strong expertise in both indoor and outdoor sports.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Physical & Health Education, coaching students in various sporting activities, and preparing them for competitions at school, inter-school, and external levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical & Health Education lessons that align with the school’s curriculum.
• Train and coach students in a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports (e.g., athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, etc.).
• Organize school sports events, inter-house competitions, and represent the school in inter-school tournaments.
• Develop students’ physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and discipline through structured sporting activities.
• Provide guidance on health education, personal fitness, and general well-being.
• Maintain discipline and safety standards during all sporting and physical activities.
• Monitor, assess, and report on students’ progress in both theory and practical aspects of Physical & Health Education.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school management to promote a culture of sportsmanship and excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical & Health Education, Human Kinetics, or related discipline (a Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• 5–10 years of proven experience as a Physical & Health Education teacher or sports coach.
• Demonstrated expertise in both indoor and outdoor games with evidence of past coaching achievements.
• Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must reside in Ibadan, preferably close to the Apata region for easy accessibility to the school.
• Ability to work with students of different age groups and skill levels.
