    Job Brief

    Head of Warehousing (FMCG)

    Job Description

    • The Suitable Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational activities of our warehousing network across multiple regions. 
    • This leadership role will ensure that warehouse operations are efficient, cost-effective, and scalable to meet the evolving needs of the business.
    • The Head of Warehousing will also be tasked with driving key warehouse projects to enhance performance, streamline processes, and support the company's long-term supply chain objectives.
    • He will also Lead SAP Roll out Pan Nigeria.

    Responsibilities
    Warehouse Operations Management:

    • Design strategies to manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth functioning of receiving, storage, order fulfilment, and dispatch activities.
    • Ensure compliance with international safety standards, legal regulations, and best practices for warehouse management.
    • Continuously assess warehouse performance and implement process improvements to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
    • Oversee organization-wide inventory management, ensuring synergy, accuracy and timely updates in the warehouse management system (WMS).
    • Develop and manage KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

    Strategic Warehouse Projects ( SAP Roll out )

    • Lead and manage key warehousing projects, including automation, system integrations, process redesigns, and technology implementations to enhance warehouse efficiency and scalability.
    • Drive initiatives to enhance warehouse capacity, including identifying opportunities for expansion, automation, and integration with supply chain networks.
    • Collaborate with the IT and Operations teams on the implementation of WMS and other technological solutions to optimize operations.
    • Plan and manage warehouse reorganization, layout optimization, and capacity management projects in line with the company’s growth

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Build, train, and mentor a high-performing team of warehouse managers, supervisors, and associates across geographies.
    • Develop and implement training programs that ensure all warehouse staff are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and efficiently.

    Supply Chain and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Partner with the supply chain, procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless integration between warehousing and other operational functions.
    • Collaborate with regional and global teams to align warehouse activities with broader business goals and objectives.

    Cost Management and Budgeting:

    • Develop and manage the warehousing budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and capital expenditure for projects.
    • Monitor and control warehousing expenses, implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising on service quality.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in logistics, supply chain management, supply chain management or social sciences.
    • Minimum of 12-15 years’ experience with at least 5 years in leadership role
    • Professional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
    • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
    • Hands on Experience of working on SAP Warehouse Related Modules
    • SAP Roll out experience as Project Manager or
