    Sales Manager

    Job Objectives

    Increase Coverage, distribution and market penetration of LS Scientific products and services utilizing the sales process to achieve Volume, Value,profitability, and cost savings- targets.

    Principal Duties and responsibilities

    • Develop and deploy effective sales policies/strategies to increase the sales of company’s products and profit.
    • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes by conducting research on competition’s demand and supply costs to determine their products’ worth thereby developing reasonable pricing thatfits within the customer’s budget and brings a great profit.
    • Provide timely and effective solutions that aligns with customers` needs by establishing and sustaining professional rapport with key clients and opinion leaders via periodic visits, calls, exploring specific needs and opportunities.
    • Mapping and generating potential and new leads / opportunities for LS Scientific, while keeping necessary sales data and records for reference.
    • Communicate sales goals and ensure management is informed on the progress of those goals.
    • Organize periodic strategy review with team members to analyze performance, adjust or generate firmer strategies for top notch sales delivery.
    • Effectively communicate value propositions to stakeholders through presentations and proposals.
    • Oversee the activities of the sales officers to ensure they achieve their agreed sales targets for the range of company products.
    • Achieve sales human resources objectives through involvement in recruitment, selecting, training, coaching, counselling and disciplining employees of sales team; communicating job expectations, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contribution, planning and enforcing policies and procedures.
    • Generate periodic report to the management highlighting expectations based on forces may have shifted strategic directions with propositions that will lead to adjustments or improvements to these strategies.
    • Generate periodic reports on sales forecasts and market feedback on competitor’s activity and offerings.
    • Ensure optimal management of all company assets (Human and material) entrusted to the sales team so as to minimize waste.
    • Perform other job-related duties as requested by LS Scientific Limited which may change at any time with or without notice

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor`s degree in Life sciences is required.
    • Minimum 7 years commercial experience in Business Development/Sales of Chemical related product lines and FMCGs.
    • Valid Driver’s License is required.

    Technical Sales Manager

    Job Description

    • Maintain, drive, supervise and implement robust technical standards, systems, and processes with a high-level of expertise and knowledge.
    • Conduct the installation, qualification, maintenance, calibration, service and repair of atomic absorption spectrophotometers (AAS), Gas chromatography (GC), UV / VIS spectrophotometers, Colorimeters, PH meters, Viscometers, Balances, and sundry laboratory equipment.
    • Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with relevant specifications and standards when rendering technical support.
    • Participate in the development of technical Services training program and be responsible for the implementation of the program and its upkeep.
    • Provide technical support by identifying technical problems and determining corrective actions in your area of expertise via remote or on-site service in any service category, investigating customer needs through professional consulting
    • Engage in periodic teleconference on equipment management / maintenance with OEM.
    • Participate in quality verification of processes and materials.
    • Participate in the forecasting of spare parts needed to service assigned customer orders according to brand / product.
    • Provide technical consulting and specialist assistance on service solutions to management and customers by giving relevant inputs on customer requirements and proposed service products / solutions
    • Determine effective service applications, equipment and methods to develop, market or manufacture new service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost effectively, managing customer relationships and maintaining regular contacts with key customers.
    • Identify new sales opportunities, conduct specialist support and advisory service for sales team, ensuring accurate communication and exchange of technical information to the customers, coordinating and performing specialist service projects in relevant areas internally and externally.
    • Prepare all required technical documents and reports for contracts to be signed by the customer representative, report work done in a timely manner and provide relevant technical supporting documents

    Qualifications

    • B.Tech, B.Sc or HND in Chemical Engineering or any related discipline
    • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Technical Service Manager in the laboratory solutions industry.

    Specialized Knowledge :

    • Ability to pay attention to details
    • Ability of diagnose critically faulty equipment using available data and resources.
    • Proficiency in using auto card
    • Proficiency in using a 3-dimension drawing tool for laboratory design
    • Availability to travel as needed
    • Have good communication, inter-personal and negotiation skill

    Procurement Manager

    Job Description

    • Sourcing for all types of local packaging materials for PFB (Packaged Foods Business) categories in Nigeria.
    • Regular suppliers engagement on price discussions and ensuring competitive prices for packaging materials in line with market conditions, driving packaging materials changes for DTV and NPD projects with close supplier management, end-to-end execution of RFP process etc
    • Broadening supplier base by developing alternate cost competitive and reliable suppliers.
    • Multiple stakeholders management and working with cross functional teams for faster responsiveness.
    • Regular supplier engagement on price discussions and ensuring competitive prices.
    • Manage material planning and support in operational (direct) procurement of all raw and packaging materials in the PFB category.
    • Efficiently drive material planning and scheduling processes and ensure material supply meets production demand at a stock norm level while optimizing costs and production capacity.
    • Establish and maintain stock levels and ensure material availability for daily production requirements.
    • Collaborate and drive efficient cost-saving localisation processes of raw and packaging materials to ensure cost-saving plans are actualized and purchasing strategies maximized.
    • Effectively manage SAP material planning master data for PFB category SKUs
    • Collaborate with brand and Country Category business teams to analyse the readiness of new product launches or product renovation in terms of cost and supply
    • Champion material management and reduction of business wastes/obsolete raw and packaging materials through conceptualised rundown processes and inventory management strategies.
    • Collaborate with other category planners and stakeholders in achieving baseline Inventory and business targets.
    • Ability to reduce hidden business wastes (Demurrages and Expedited Airfreights, etc)
    • Help in delivering of proper SKUs with an effective and efficient planning process.
    • Collaborate with Business Leaders to ensure effective planning for materials.
    • Attend to other business needs as may be required and assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agribusiness, supply chain management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience in packaging raw matererials procurement, preferably in a trading or procurement role. (This is a must)
    • In-depth knowledge of agricultural commodities markets, including price drivers, trading patterns, and supply chain dynamics.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Familiarity with quality control standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability practices in the agricultural industry.
    • Proficient in using procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in procurement documentation and contract management.
    • Knowledge of international trade regulations and experience in global sourcing is desirable.
