    Human Resources Manager

    Job Description

    • Design and run the HR department operations daily with the capacity and capability to deliver the goals of the organization.
    • Design, develop and update clear administrative and HR policies and procedures to cater to all possible engagement and administrative issues between staff and the organization.
    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that aligned with the overall business strategy.
    • manage the organizations attraction, recruitment and selection system.
    • Design a performance and appraisal management system that seeks to improve staff productivity rates.
    • Develop policy and practices to maintain employee and workplace privacy and also to ensure the fundamental rights of the staff are protected throughout all levels of interactions with staff, management and stakeholders.
    • Develop & deploy a staff engagement and retention strategy that will ensure the retention of the best and highest performing staff.
    • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, processes, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
    • Develop and support management team with the capacity and capability to lead staff across all aspects of the Organization.

    Key Requirements

    • BSc. /M.Sc. Degree in human resources or related field.
    • Must have at least 4 years’ relevant work experience in the Human Resource Profession.
    • Certification in CIPM and/or relevant HR Certification is a plus
    • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
    • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices.
    • Knowledge of labour laws.
    • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Adept at problem solving and conflict resolution.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Procurement Officer

    Job Description:

    • Responsible for and plans, organizes and manages the procurement process for all projects
    • Ensures that the procurement process is in adherence to company and client requirements, company policies and procedures to ensure successful delivery of project requirements.
    • Interface with project department and vendors for all matters related to the procurement of Projects materials, equipment and services scope.
    • Develop the Project Procurement Plan and Execution Strategy for individual Projects.
    • Oversees all Procurement activities associated with the effective purchasing of Project requirements by the Procurement Department in accordance with Project or end user schedules, specifications and budgets.
    • Provide procurement support for Bids, and when necessary, participate in bid reviews and evaluations.
    • Develop and maintain a commercially sound Vendor base, survey the market for new supply sources including non-traditional ones and maintain Project “Approved Vendor List”.
    • Evaluate vendor performance on continuous basis.
    • Monitor and review market conditions and price & delivery trends for Project materials and equipments.
    • Checking the accuracy of materials when they are delivered to the site; following the procedures for accepting delivery of materials to the storage.
    • Provide project procurement reports as necessary and undertake tasks, activities and assignments at the direction of the Project Team Lead/Project Manager.
    • Maintaining stock/material schedules, documents, files and all other requesting, processing and reconciliation documents.
    • Ensuring that requests for materials follow company’s approval process before they are released.
    • Ensuring the replenishment of store items before they are exhausted.
    • Ensuring that only items approved for release are released at each given time.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum of 5 years procurement experience in a Real Estate Company.
    • At least 3 years in managing a team.

    Legal Officer

    Job Description

    • Negotiate, draft, review and advise upon, all required legal documentation in relation to real estate matters, including leases (commercial, residential and retail) facilities management agreements, property management agreements, assignment agreement, settlement agreements, MOUs, Title documents and other documents.
    • Evaluating all relevant legal documents
    • Represent the company in legal proceedings
    • Assist with review of new contracts as well as service level agreements or changes to existing contracts with clients and partners.
    • Liaising with external solicitors to ensure efficient and successful closure to litigation matters.
    • Handles all real estate related legal issues, including transfers of titles and deeds, construction, mortgage concerns Handling all police affairs where applicable for the company.
    • Undertaking searches in Land Registry.
    • Representing the company in court or before government agencies.
    • Searching for and examining public and other legal records to write opinions or establish ownership.
    • Review and follow up on all ongoing cases and advise management accordingly
    • Liaising with the external solicitor and take ownership of the company's legal activities
    • Review and advise management on the legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
    • Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
    • Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
    • Work closely with clients to ensure that their property transaction goes smoothly and that all paperwork is filed according to legal requirements.
    • Handling all files and documents related to government agencies.
    • Receiving and replying to emails on behalf of the company.
    • Compilation and service of statutory notices.
    • Attending company meetings that involve compliance and legal implications, including transactions, negotiations and Board meeting.
    • Follow up and ensure, all approvals and necessary documentation are perfected at the government level.
    • Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required.
    • Protect the company against legal risks and violations
    • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the estate.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum academic qualification LL.B (Second Class Upper Division, 2.1)
    • Minimum 8 years post Bar qualification
    • LLM will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 6 years experience in real estate and property law, Litigation and Corporate Law.
    • Must have an extensive legal background, as well as business acumen, financial expertise and specific real estate knowledge.
    • Thorough knowledge of property law and practice, contract documentaion and litigation.
    • An analytical thinker.
    • Effective communicator, Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills.
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
    • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office applications especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Excellent team working ability to ensure smooth operation in the Legal Unit as a whole.
