Job Description

This position is ideal for a software engineer who is passionate about solving challenging business problems and building applications that provide an excellent user experience.  Sometimes you will be designing brand-new software solutions, and at other times you may be refactoring existing functionality for performance and maintainability, but always working on ways to make us more efficient and provide better solutions to our customers. The role is for a self-motivated individual with software engineering skills and knowledge of Databases, and backend technologies.

The candidate will be extensively involved in leading hands-on software engineering activities including POCs, design, documentation, development, and test of new functionality. The candidate must be flexible and willing to switch tasks based on the team’s needs. You will also help and guide junior team members.

Key Functions

• Work on emerging technologies, building distributed applications
• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure the development and implementation of new data-driven solutions.
• Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality
• solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision and comply with all applicable standards.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
• Partner with Product on implementation strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of Software Development Experience or a Masters's degree with 2 years of Software Development Experience.
• Experience with web service standards and related patterns (REST, JSON)
• Proficiency in implementing design patterns and hands -on - knowledge on SQL server and VB .Net
• Experience developing large-scale, enterprise-class distributed system or subsystems that require high availability, low latency, & strong data consistency computing
• Experience implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear & concise way, a team player with a strong work ethic
• Effective verbal and written communication and documentation skills

You will be responsible for developing and optimizing frontend applications that enhance user experience and efficiency. Sometimes, you will be designing brand-new UI components, while at other times, you may be refactoring existing functionality for better performance and maintainability—all with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for users.

This role is suited for a self-motivated individual with strong expertise in frontend technologies, including modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, and responsive design. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless collaboration between design and development teams to produce high-quality, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dynamic, user-friendly web applications with modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to transform wireframes and mockups into high-quality, functional user interfaces.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between frontend and backend systems.
• Optimize web applications for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in frontend development, including accessibility and security considerations.
• Lead hands-on development efforts, including proof-of-concepts (POCs), design, documentation, testing, and implementation of new features.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, and proactively suggest improvements.
• Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and support to help them grow their skills.
• Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, ensuring smooth functionality and user experience.
• Effectively communicate project status, risks, and potential roadblocks with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of Software Development Experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of Software Development Experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Vuex, or similar).
• Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling (AJAX, Fetch, or Axios).
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with frontend build tools and preprocessors (Webpack, Babel, SASS, etc.).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to address them.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
