    Sales Representative

    Objectives

    • The Infection Prevention Officer at MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for reproductive health services.

    Regional Marketing & Communication Advisor

    Objectives

    • This role is part of the Marketing and Communications Team working directly to support efficient and effective community mobilization activities, strengthen accountability, improve partnerships, policy advocacy, corporate visibility, youth engagement, and stakeholder mobilization.
    • S/he will serve as liaison, facilitating new partnerships and strengthening existing relationships with policy makers, and religious/traditional and youth gatekeepers at national and state levels. Helping to drive the broader MSI Nigeria partnership goals.

    Overall Responsibilities
    Coordinate Community mobilization activities and strengthen accountability:

    • Initiate and provide a support system for effective and efficient community mobilization.

    • Facilitate and ensure proper community entry activities are conducted by mobilisers during mobilization.

    Lead content development for MSI Nigeria communication/documentation:

    • S/he is required to identify, develop, document, and promptly report high-impact success stories and communication content to meet the needs of the region and the entire MSI Nigeria e.g., Newsletter stories, Blog and social media content, action photographs, etc.
    • Lead the content generation and documentation of communication materials for various uses
    • Identify, penetrate and facilitate dissemination of MSI Nigeria content on strategic social media groups with high following of youth, adolescent, and Women of Reproductive Age (WRA) to increase visibility and referral to MSI Nigeria service providers and products.

    Advocacy/External Relations, Communication and Representation of MSI Nigeria:

    • Lead in the formation of effective partnerships within the development arena to increase collaboration and recognition for MSI Nigeria’s work; Influence policy, and grant making decisions of donors within the region:
    • Ensure visibility and raise the profile of MSI Nigeria among key stakeholders, including donors and partners.
    • Participate and represent MSI Nigeria in regional/state level Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) technical working group meetings and maintain professional relationship with strategically placed individuals within target institutions.
    • Create and explore all opportunities to highlight MSI Nigeria’s policy messages and technical expertise to a wider audience through media channels and special events, linking with the regional manager, communications and clinical teams as required.
    • Monitor and report relevant state and regional health and development policy developments.
    • Build strong relationships with key policy makers and cooperating with partners in order to influence policy change and place MSI Nigeria in a strong position.
    • Identify key policy and advocacy issues affecting SRH and MSI Nigeria interventions at regional and state levels and report same quarterly.
    • Conduct quarterly socio-political analysis framework to understand and advise management on clients/community’s experiences resulting from intersections of culture, politics and religion across MSI Nigeria’s regional offices.
    • Engage with critical stakeholders in the SRH industry and position MSI Nigeria as a family planning and sexual and reproductive health thought leader.

    Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Track and report all advocacy and mobilization engagements in the region.
    • Test run advocacy and communication materials in conjunction with RM&E unit before finalization and deployment for general population use.
    • Prepare and submit monthly technical, progress and program monitoring reports to MSI Nigeria and donors according to schedules and guidelines or as relevant for management decision to line managers.
    • Use routine data from CliC and the Marketing Activities Reporting (MAR) template to target demand generation effort and reach clients more effectively.

    Others:

    • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager and/or management.
    • Willingness to travel within and outside the country as maybe required.

    Required Experience/Skill & Qualification

    • BSc/BA Degree in communication, Arts, marketing, and related field; MA/MSc in these areas would be an added advantage.

    MS Ladies Supervisor

    Overall Responsibility

    • The role holder will have three (3) key responsibilities in supervising the Marie Stopes Ladies (MSL) as they provide MSI NIGERA services of interest. This includes clinical, demand creation, and business management support to the MSLs.
    • S/He will train and support a selected number of private providers who are either registered nurses or midwives spread across the assigned state/location so that women in Nigeria have easy access to options of high-quality family planning services.
    • S/he will support in provider management of community mobilisers, assuring client safety and satisfaction, data reporting, increasing providers’ business management skills as well as stakeholder engagement within his/her location of operations.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Ensure effective and impactful training and supportive supervision of assigned providers addressing MSI Quality Assurance thematic areas.
    • Ensure effective and impactful training and supportive supervision of assigned providers addressing MSI Demand Generation strategy for the MSL channel looking at the sustainability of this approach through provider ownership.
    • Ensure effective and impactful training and supportive supervision of assigned providers addressing MSI Business Management fundamentals of bookkeeping, basic accounting, and access to financial support towards expanding the scope and scale of MSLs businesses.
    • Ensure competency of the providers in areas of counseling, infection prevention medical emergency preparedness, and services provisions are maintained at a high level, documented, and properly conveyed in monthly reports.
    • Ensure adequate supply of commodities as well as relevant procedural equipment including overall support and management of these providers' business and delivery of service.
    • Ensure MSI NIGERA ’s data reporting and management procedures, guidelines protocols are strictly followed.

    • Conducts once every two months supportive supervision, coaching and mentoring of all trained providers based on needs
    • Keeps the Continuous Supportive Supervision checklists and records, follows up on action plans, and ensures updates are tracked and reported.
    • Must collate and maintain up-to-date training and competency database for all team members supervised while using same to develop the Training Needs Assessment
    • Support the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly facility performance reports on training and quality assessment activities in assigned state;
    • In collaboration with RM and Quality Advisor lead review meetings aimed at performance improvement, based on the outcome of supportive supervision, mentoring and quality assessment findings using best practice at regional/state level
    • Documents best practices and/or lessons learned from MSI NIGERA ’s MSL operations
    • Supports in logistic planning and delivery of clinical trainings in the most effective and efficient manners, ensuring maximum knowledge gain.

    Supply Management and Business Capability Support to Providers:

    • Ensure zero stock of commodities with all assigned providers including consumables during SSVs
    • Ensure the availability of clinical governance guidelines, manuals, and job aids used by these providers are in adequate quantity and track referral linkages of service utilization.
    • Facilitate, follow up, and support providers’ referral and reporting of clinical incidents related to FP and PAC services.
    • Ensure all infection prevention materials are in place and in use.
    • Facilitates availability of clinical supplies at service delivery points (SDPs) and ensures expired stocks are not present at these SDPs
    • Through trainings, SSVs and other opportunities address MSI NIGERIA Business Management fundamentals of bookkeeping, basic accounting, and access to financial support including MSLs business development skills and continuous risk assessment for MSL businesses
    • Create in the MSLs provider a culture of cash flow tracking and management including knowledge of profit made from all service provision or sales relating to MSLs business. This will include following up with all accreditation standard requirements as applicable looking at client profiles, behaviour, willingness to pay and provide knowledge of the health market within his/her catchment

    Advocacy, Client Generation for Service and Community Mobilisation Support to MSLs:

    • In collaboration with the RM, act as the focal person for MSI NIGERIA at the state level including representing MSI NIGERIA at some level meeting/platforms where necessary as concerns the MSLs operations.
    • Support the development and maintenance of excellent relationships by the MSLs with the community structure and other health partners including public institutions in the state to strengthen MSN's impact and increase service delivery.
    • Ensure strong links between communication about available services at the SDPs and interpersonal communication agents (IPCAs) community mobilization activities and overall referral systems.
    • Work with the MSLs providers to identify viable demand creation options in line with MSI NIGERA ’s Demand Creation strategy while ensuring the MSLs understand these demand creation details towards ensuring continuation even after MSI NIGERA directly supports of these activities

    Data Reporting and Management:

    • Ensure all service data from assigned providers are collected, collated, and reported into ORION or any other available reporting platform by 3rd of the new month.
    • Ensure all service data entered into ORION or any other available reporting platform are correct, complete, consistent, within reporting dates, and up to date
    • Validate the data reported by the providers and sign off before entry into ORION
    • With support from the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (RRMEA), ensure that all reported data are archived chronologically in the state offices for data audit purposes.
    • Working with RME unit, ensure assigned providers are trained on data reporting tools and ensure compliance as part of all SSVs
    • Ensure data reporting tools are available and in use with all assigned providers all year round
    • Where applicable, conduct monthly collation of Client Record Audits and completed client feedback forms and transfer to RRMEA for analysis and records
    • Conduct monthly facility level performance management including reporting rate analysis for each provider under his/her supervision.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Registered nurse/Midwife or other related areas in medical sciences with a strong experience in community-level demand creation for health services including basic business knowledge
    • Familiarity with the different cultural, social and religious identities in Nigeria including development issues and the international donor community
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills including strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Technical Expertise in Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARCs) specifically Implants insertion and removal
    • Significant experience of providing competency-based training and certification for providers (Nurses/Midwives and CHEWS) in modern methods of family planning
    • Experience of providing trainings for national and International NGOs in Nigeria (Experience of DFID, USAID, Gates-funded projects, including working in a diverse team environment preferred)
    • Experience in managing healthcare providers before now will be an added advantage
    • Willingness to frequently travel to project implementation sites
    • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages is mandatory
    • Familiarity /Experience with geography of the intervention states is desired

    Clinical Service Provider (Outreach)

    Responsibilities
    Overall Responsibilities:

    Clinical Responsibilities:

    • Conform to the critical service standards established for the clinic and the medical team.
    • Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with the patient's care code, established by the physician, within thescope of practice.
    • Assisting with and contributing to thedevelopment of nursing care within the clinic.
    • Deliver requested service while counselling patients to full knowledge of theservice to be provided before uptake.
    • Assisting physician or other medical staff personnel with examinations and treatments by providing support to patients, chaperoning, and other assistance as directed or required.
    • Within scope, evaluates patient's condition by observing signs, symptoms, and reactions to therapy, to identify unexpected and/or significant findings, andinitiate appropriate emergency procedures, as necessary.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in medicine or nursing or Midwifery (Essential),
    • Possess a minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position, in an established healthcare system.
    • Current NMCN License
    • BCLS Certification.
    • Have a clinical certification in Midwifery.
    • Must have proven experience to work with minimum supervision.

    State Clinical Training Officers (SCTO)

    Objectives

    • The holder of this position will train and support a selected number of public sector providers across assigned states/locations to provide family planning services especially Long Acting Reversible Contraceptions (LARCs) so that women in Nigeria have easy access to options of high-quality family planning services.

    • In collaboration with the Regional Quality Assurance Advisor, plan and implement state-level Quality audit, independent of the channel-wide internal audit, and data from same for.

    • Conducts monthly or bi-monthly supportive supervision, coaching, and mentoring of all trained providers based on needs.

    Supply, and facility management:

    • Ensure zero stock of commodities in all assigned facilities including consumables during SSVs
    • Manage training supplies, in line with the medical supply distribution guideline.
    • Ensure the availability of clinical governance guidelines, manuals, and job aids used by facilities in adequate quantity and track referral linkages of service utilization.
    • Facilitate, follow up, and support facility referral and reporting of incidents related to FP and SA/PSC services.
    • Ensure all infection prevention materials are in place and in use.
    • Facilitates availability of clinical supplies at SDPs and ensures expired stocks are not present at SDPs.

    Advocacy and External Engagement:

    • In collaboration with the RM and Clinical Training and Quality Advisors, work with stakeholders, including the Government, other Implementing Partners, and internal stakeholders within MSI NIGERIA to achieve project and organizational deliverables.
    • Act as the focal person for MSI NIGERIA at the state level including representing MSI NIGERIA at some level meeting/platforms where necessary.
    • Ensure the visibility and credibility of MSI NIGERIA brand in the state.
    • Support the development and maintenance of excellent relationships with government (SMoH), partners, and other public institutions in the state with a view to strengthening MSN's impact and future funding opportunities at the field level.
    • Ensure strong links between communication and community mobilization activities, at the systems level.
    • Work with providers and FP coordinator to identify viable creation options in line with MSI NIGERIA’s Demand Creation strategy.

    Data Reporting and Management:

    • Ensure all service data from assigned facilities are collected and reported into ORION by 3rd of the new month.
    • Ensure all service data entered into ORION are correct, complete, consistent, within the reporting dates, and up to date.
    • Validate the data reported by the facilities and sign off before entry into ORION.
    • Comply with data validation rules and timeline in ORION.
    • Ensure that all reported data are archived chronologically in the state offices for data audit purposes.
    • Be available throughout the data entry review period and be prepared to make corrections in the entries between the 2nd and 5th of the new month.
    • Must achieve model sites.
    • Conduct provider review meetings to mob-up data on a need arises basis and report same for documentation according to the stipulated SOP for mop-up data archiving.
    • Working with the RME unit, ensure assigned facilities/providers are trained on data reporting tools and ensure compliance as part of all SSVs.
    • Review all MIS data for accuracy before entry.
    • Ensure data reporting tools are available and in use in all assigned facilities all year round.
    • Develops integrated monthly reports capturing performance on the team’s operations and clinical quality deliverables.
    • Where applicable, conduct monthly collation of Client Record Audits and completed client feedback forms and transfer to RMEA for analysis and records.
    • Conduct monthly facility-level performance management including report rate analysis for each facility within his/her supervision.

    Leadership:

    • As a member of the operations team, demonstrate a strong commitment to MS mission and goals working with other team members and channels.
    • Ensure that a high level of communication is maintained with state team members including other MSI Nigeria departments.
    • Encourage a positive culture, work environment and attitude among team members in assigned state of coverage.

    Required Qualifications

    • A Medical Doctor, Registered nurse, Midwife, or other related areas in medical sciences
    • Familiarity with the different cultural, social, and religious identities in Nigeria, international health, development issues and the international donor community
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
    • Technical Expertise in long-acting reversible contraception (LARCs) specifically IUD and Implants insertion and removal
    • Significant experience providing competency-based training and certification for providers (Nurses/Midwives and Doctors) in modern methods of family planning
    • Experience of providing trainings for national and International NGOs in Nigeria (Experience of DFID, USAID, and Gates-funded projects, including working in a diverse team environment preferred)
    • Experience managing facilities, clients, and teams.
    • Willingness to frequently travel to project implementation sites.
    • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages
    • Familiarity /Experience with geography of the intervention states is desired.
